after being in la for 2 days the day of the audition had finally come. i woke up and saw corinna beaming at me from the doorway. she came in with room service and handed it to me. "are you ready for today?" she asked with a smile on her sun kissed face. it made her eyes look way bluer than usual.

"i'm so nervous that i'm going to screw up in the scene, or the actor that i'm paired with will do something wrong. or i might just be scared that i'm going to fart or something in the scene we do." i said with a laugh. she just shook her head at me.

"but apart from that you're ok yeah?" she asked with a smile. i nodded back to her as i reached for my phone on my bedside table while she walked into her room to get ready for the day.
"by the way we need to be ready for 12." she called out as she was in the main room of our hotel suite. it was a really nice hotel, and it reminded me of the building the auditions in london were held in.

i was scrolling through instagram when emalee's energetic body came into my view. "once you get ready for the day can we please go and take some instagram pictures because i need to post some stuff to document this trip." she asked while flashing me a white smile.

"sure i'll get ready now." i started and she nodded. "can you put this back on the cart please?" i replied standing up off of the bed and making my way to the toilet.

i caught a glimpse of my appearance this morning and i was thankful that corinna has a friend who is a makeup artist who will be able to make me look normal on the camera these auditions were being recorded on.

after a short while of brushing my hair and putting some clothes on, sydney was at our door with her bag of makeup and she began working her magic. making my skin look clearer and glowy. as corinna and lou were talking emalee and i walked out to take some pictures and we found an exit to the gardens in the middle of the hotel. it was aesthetically pleasing so we took pictures on the wall protecting the flowers and i posted one to my instagram.

it was 12 o'clock and corinna called me out of my room, we had to leave so we could get to the auditions place for 1, it was only a 20 minute drive but with la traffic it was better to be safe than sorry. i opened the door and emalee gave me a hug and wished me luck. i promised to text her as soon as i was out of the audition. soon after that i climbed into the car mentally preparing myself for what was coming. 

nerves took over but i was excited to say the least. corinna started reading through my forms and deciding on which headshot to hand in before she spoke.
"you know, there's only 3 pairs who are going to this call back, and you've already got your pair." she said in quite a frustrated tone.

"do you know who i've been paired with yet?" i responded excitedly. she shook her head no and carried on looking through the paperwork. once we arrived we were directed to a different waiting room with 2 other girls and one boy. one girl had light brown hair and the other had black hair. the black haired girl turned to look at me while the other stayed staring at her phone. corinna and i sat opposite the boy and his agent, he looked up and smiled at me and i knew i recognised his face from somewhere. he had freckles and curly, dark brown hair that looked like it would bounce when he walked.

i sat down and scrolled through instagram and snapchat, seeing the pictures of people from school having fun on their summer holidays. i got to emalee's snapchat where i see a picture of the view from our hotel and a lovely message from her.

it made me smile and i typed back a quick response before realising that the director i had met before came out of the room. i looked around as he did and i saw that the other two boys had arrived.

"can all of the candidates come into the casting room please." i stood up and looked around, smiling at corinna as i walked through the door; watching ben as he moved behind a desk with a man with straight hair that reached his shoulders and a beard, and the same red-headed woman from london.

"as you all know, two people from each audition held were chosen to come to this audition. so from london we have; cara meadows and elliot boniface" i smiled at everyone as did elliot when they clapped us and then ben began speaking again.

"from canada we have angelica joey and finn wolfhard" i clapped and realised i recognised finn from stranger things, how did i forget? i watched that show in one sitting, and i watched 'it' with emalee.

"and last but not least we have dorothea rain and jamie tucker from here in la." we all clapped them and then the man with a beard spoke,
"so you are not paired with these people the pairs are as follows; cara meadows and finn wolfhard, elliot boniface and dorothea rain, and angelica joey with jamie tucker." i walked over to finn and he began speaking "hi, i'm finn" he spoke with an outstretched hand. i shook it and started to speak;

"i'm cara-" i was going to continue speaking and ask how he was but we were interrupted by the redhead woman who called us over to get our scripts.

"you may each take a room to rehearse in, you have 20 minutes people." she then sat back down and i walked into a room after finn, still not realising what was happening.

an- pretty much cara isnt a youtuber anymore, she just has a social media following bc she's good at makeup kinda like charlotte irl? i've had to change parts of this book SO OFTEN im sorry if its confusin.
