we were sat in the waiting area for a few minutes that felt like ages before ben came out of the room. nervous was an understatement, i want this role more than anything now. to come this far and not book the job would feel terrible, even finns words of confidence early couldn't stop my heart from pounding and palms from sweating.

"can all candidates come into the casting room please." he spoke before putting a doorstop in the door. there were six chairs laid out and i sat in the one farthest away from the door, with finn sat next to me, waiting anxiously for what they were about to say. 

ben cleared his throat and began to speak "as you all know only you have already been put into your pairs and you will not be separated from the person you have worked with today."  i looked at the rest of the candidates sitting in the line while stephanie was talking. 

ben stood up to speak, "the pair who will be taking on the roles of alissa and zach are," he pauses and we all stare at him intently, 

"cara meadows and finn wolfhard." my mouth drops open and i see the other pairs clapping, finn turns to me and grins resulting in me doing the same. while we are celebrating and the other actors and actresses are talking to us the bearded casting director went out to bring in finn's agent and corinna.

"i can't believe it!" i said to finn. just as we were about to continue speaking, the other candidates were ushered out of the room and were told that they could leave, making finn, his agent, corinna and i the only remaining people in the room, as well as the casting crew behind the table.

"so cara as you obviously live in england i assume you know that your family will not be leaving their own jobs behind just for this role." stephanie began. i nodded and waited for her to continue. 

"this means that you and corinna will be given a pre-paid penthouse apartment near to where we are going to be filming most of the scenes, and finn we know you live in vancouver but the filming will be in toronto so you will also be moving into the same apartment as cara." she said with a smile. 

"thats so cool." he said. "it's like we're going to be roommates." he smiled which i returned and we continued listening.

"corinna however will have to take responsibility for the pair of you as nancy has other commitments to attend to." she continued while finn gave his agent, whose name i now know is nancy, a look of slight sadness while i smiled at corinna. the rest of the meeting went pretty quickly as finn and i just sat there, allowing our agents to talk it out with the people in charge. "so congratulations, you are the first people to be cast in the show, i am so happy for you." said the bearded man, "you won't be seeing me on set that often as im just involved in casting but i just wanted to say you are amazing actors; the chemistry between you was amazing, and i cannot wait to see you in the show." he finished with a smile. finn and i both thanked him while we were dismissed outside. 

i picked up my bag and grabbed my phone while finn walked over to me. 

"hey i was wondering if i could get your instagram and twitter and stuff so we can speak on there." i agreed, "sure, i'm cara.meadows on everything, i'm most probably already following you but you shouldnt be too hard to find." we both walked towards to door and got to the bottom of the stairs before going separate ways,.

"see you soon wolfhard." i called out and i heard him chuckle. then corinna appeared next to me; "you and finn are getting along well then i suppose?" she chuckled and i brushed it off. 

"you will be pleased to know that tomorrow you have a very, very busy day." she began. 

"oh really, what am i doing?" i replied inquisitively. 

"we're going to disney!" she paused to check my reaction and saw the beaming smile on my face,  "i know its not florida disney but, i remember you saying you've never been so what better way to be basic in la than go." i squealed bombarded her with massive hugs, forgetting she was holding very important paperwork.

"im sorry! im sorry!" i stepped back and helped rearrange the piles, "i just got so excited i've wanted to go for ages."

she regained her composure and smiled "i know thats why i planned it for you." i didn't know what to say but judging by the look on her face she could tell how much it meant to me. "now you need to go home and tell emalee all this good news." she gestured to the uber that was pulling up and sighed as i did a weird happy dance to the car.
