it was our last day in los angeles and we had to fly home at 10am so emalee and i began packing all of our belongings and we kept on checking the hotel, making sure we hadn't left anything behind. "thank you so much cara." she began, "if you was a shitty actress then none of this would've happened, but you're amazing and i'm so proud I get to call you my best friend." her words were kind and very sappy. so i walked over to hug her.

"you've made this trip way more fun than it would've been, not everyone gets to spend 5 days in la with their best friend but i did." i stated, flashing her a smile. we went back to clearing the hotel and then we had to leave. i was scrolling through instagram before a dm notification popped up on the screen. i clicked it and it took me to a dm from finn.

we're just about to go to the airport
it was fun here though

i was thinking we should go and meet up and do something if you and emalee were bored

cara.meadows: 
we'd love to but our plane leaves at 10, im surprised we're even awake this early
but at least we will have a week of being roommates before we start shooting the show in august

i looked back up from my phone because emalee was repeatedly tapping my shoulder,

"cara look at this trailer for the new season of ahs, its only a teaser but i have goosebumps." she said while unplugging her headphones and passing it to me. she also waved her arm in front of my face showing me the hairs that were raised and i looked at her excitedly. 

"we are not allowed to watch it unless we are together, or on facetime or something like that, but we need to be together no matter what." i proposed and she agreed, linking our pinkies, american horror story was the show we binged together.

i smiled at her and she returned it before speaking again. "of course, there's no other way to watch american horror story than with you."

i laughed remembering how we watched roanoke, "you had to put up with me throughout season 6 screaming matt just to take the piss." she also laughed and screamed his name in the style of sarah paulson, the rest of the car ride was spent listening to her spotify playlist.

we got to the airport and checked in and once we got through security we sat in starbucks for a while talking about random things before our flight was called. we walked to the tunnel and handed our passes to the person checking them, before we sat in our seats and marvelled at them, the producers for the show had upgraded us from economy to business seats and i was more than happy. i managed to get comfortable instantly and drifted to sleep for 8 hours before waking up only to find that we had 3 and a bit hours left.

i turned to look at emalee who was asleep, so i decided to watch wall-e because i was in the mood for crying at some cartoons. after crying over wall-e as well as some music in my sad songs playlist, i shook emalee awake because we were landing. she was still uneasy with landing so i switched to her window seat before gripping her hand as we glided down onto the runway.

we hastily hopped off of the plane and i got a call from my mum, her voice filled my ears and i was happy to hear from her. "hi sweetie, we just got to the airport and we saw your plane land, dad tracked it on his phone somehow. when you come out of the main exit go right and you'll see us." she said.

"of course, it was amazing mum i can't wait to start filming." i said while smiling into the phone.

"i know darling, now get through security so me and your dad can give you a massive hug." i laugh as she ends the call and we continue walking through security and go to pick up our bags.

of course emalee's suitcase would be the last thing to come off of the conveyor belt but we were finally able to walk out of the airport quickly and see my parents.

"i'm so proud of you, you're going to be a star." my dad exclaimed as we hugged.

"you did amazing sweetie, and i'm so happy the pair of you behaved for corinna." my mum said too in a half-joking way. as we were very tired from the plane ride we made ourselves comfy in the back of my parents car as corinna walked over to her boyfriends and we went our separate ways home.
