*MANY YEARS LATER*

Calum's POV

"They don't know about the things we do.

They don't know about the "I love you"'s.

But I bet you if they only knew,

They would just be jealous of us."

I whisper through the tears. Staring at her gravestone 60 years after I thought I would, I still can't believed I outlived her. After she made it through all of the things she went through, I always figured that she would live longer. But she didn't. She had a heart attack at the age of 81, and there was nothing we could do to stop it. I slowly rise, starting to walk towards the car. My only daughter gets out and hugs me.

"Dad. You know she's in a better place now."

I hug her back.

"Kelsey, promise me that you'll outlive me."

"Dad, my name isn't Kelsey."

I look up at her. She looks just like Kelsey did.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Dad, let's just go home."

I smile, getting in the passenger's seat. I close my eyes, remembering everything that Kelsey and I did, from the tour, to the wedding, to having our first child to our last, to the day that she died.

Robin reaches over and turns on the radio.

"Hello there, the angel from my nightmare
The shadow in the background of the morgue"

She goes to turn it off, knowing that it was her mother's favorite blink-182 song but I stop her.

"No, leave it on."

She smiles and continues driving.

I close my eyes again, remembering her. Everything about her.

"Don't waste your time on me you're already
The voice inside my head, I miss you, I miss you"

I grab my wallet and pull out a picture of the wedding day. I wipe a tear off my face. I know she wouldn't want me to cry, but it's hard. Robin pulls up to my... our house and we walk inside. I see my three sons, Lucas, Mike and Ashton, sitting there with the older Luke, Michael, and Ash.

Luke walks over to me and hugs me, "you good man?"

"Yeah... I'll be fine." I smile for the first time in weeks.

"Well, we booked this gig for a charity. They want us to perform a few songs to support the research of the disease that Kelsey had."

"You still can't pronounce it can you?"

"Ugh shut up... do you want to or not?"

"Of course I would."

--

We get to the gig. Our last gig as 5 Seconds of Summer.

--

"We'd like to dedicate this last song to Kelsey Grace Irwin-Hood. She meant a lot to all of us and I know she really liked this song."

"Life's a tangled web
Of cell phone calls and hashtag I-don't-knows
And you you're so caught up
In all the blinking lights and dial tones
I admit I'm a bit of a victim in the worldwide system too
But I've found my sweet escape when I'm alone with you

Tune out the static sound of the city that never sleeps
Here in the moment on the dark side of the screen

I like the summer rain
I like the sounds you make
We put the world away
We get so disconnected
You are my getaway
You are my favorite place
We put the world away
Yeah we're so disconnected

Oh oh o-o-oh, oh oh o-oh
We're so disconnected
Oh oh o-o-oh, oh oh o-oh

Hands around my waist
You're counting up the hills across the sheets
And I'm a falling star
A glimmer lighting up these cotton streets
I admit I'm a bit of a fool for playing by the rules
But I've found my sweet escape when I’m alone with you

Tune out the static sound of the city that never sleeps
Here in the moment on the dark side of the screen

I like the summer rain
I like the sounds you make
We put the world away
We get so disconnected
You are my getaway
You are my favourite place
We put the world away
Yeah we're so disconnected

Turn off the radio
Those late night TV shows
Hang up the telephone
And just be here with me

And just be here with me

I like the summer rain
