Another week had passed and didn’t know if I actually broke up with him or we took a break from each other but I was still angry that he never kissed me in public. As I walk to my locker in the morning I see Eli waiting in front of my locker again.

I walk up to him and say “Please move I need to get to my locker.” He didn’t move a bit but instead he just looked into my eyes, when he always looks into my eyes it’s just so flirty when he does it but I don’t know how he just is so cute but annoying at the same time. I start to tap my foot on the ground and I folded my arms and looked back at him. He grabbed my arms gently and unfolded them and stood me up straight but he still had his arms on my side and held me in the one spot in front of him.

His hands were so warm when he held me it was like a heater was warming me on a cold night. He spoke to me and said “Becky you must listen to me and not go anywhere”

I replied “fine.”

He then started to talk “I know I offended you and that I am truly sorry about, and I don’t want to be with anyone else but you. When I met you for the first time all I saw was beauty and when I found out more about you I fell for you. So I’m saying that opposites attract just like ying and yang bonded together to make happiness and peace. So if you want us public let’s be public together.”

He stepped to the side and walked to the middle of the hallways and shouted “I love Becky Walsh!” He then turned around to me and held my hands. He smiled at me and waited a moment to see my reaction, and so I looked into his eyes again and smiled at him. Eli then put his hands around my waist and kissed me at school.

The next day at school I am greeted at the school entrance steps by a kiss by Eli. As we walk into the school and head towards the locker hallway he holds my hand as we walk down the hallway. At lunch break we sit together under a shady tree in the senior year’s court since I am in Year 10 and Eli is in Year 11.

We talk so much about books and movies we have seen and share a few kisses in between, when Eli puts his hands on mine. He looks at me and asks me a question “I know we have only been showing affection at school but how about we go on our first official date?”

A girly squeal came out of my mouth “Yes!” He then laughed at my girly-ness but I said to him “Hey, every once in a while I can be really girly so you will have to deal with it.” He then kissed me again and we both laughed and talked about where we were going to go out at.

Eli suggested going into a drive in – dress up movie theatre. I agreed but I asked “what movie are we watching?” Eli replied with

“A movie from the 1920’s. It’s about crime, action packed and interesting.” I then thought in my head and remember I had to research in junior years about the 1920’s and I came across that movie, but I never watched it and it sounded interesting. The bell had went and during history class I got an text message from Eli giving the time he was picking me up at 7.00pm to start at 8.00pm and dress in 1920’s women clothes.
