As I walked home I was shaking my head so I could get my sense again but I was stumbling all over the place as I walked home. I was half way back to my house when a noisy car slowed up and moved at my pace next to me. A boy in the passenger seat rolled down the window and yelled to me “Hey beautiful!.... what are you doing today, I could take you home for your but you will have to sit on my lap because I don’t have any more seats in here.”
I stop and turn to him I walk up to the window and I was holding a bottle of water. I whispered to him “Hey can I show you something?” giving him a sexy smile.
He grinned and said “sure baby.”
I winked at him and I held up my bottle of water. I splashed his face and wet his clothe, I yelled to him “I’m not a hopeless girl!”
He yelled back to me “You’re going to be hopeless in a minute!”
I started to run the guy got out of his car and started to chase me. I ran around the corner and spotted my apartment block. I ran to the main door and tried to unlock my door but the guy had ran up to me and pushed me to the ground just as he was about to punch me Billy had tackled him to the ground and punched him so hard that his whole right eye was coloured with blood and blood was pouring out of his eye. Billy yelled to him “Get lost you…….”
He ran back to his car and drove off Billy helped me up and said to me “Your late for school, you know.”
I panicked and ran up the stairs and ran into our apartment. I ran into our bathroom and washed my face, brushed my hair and re-done my make-up again. I ran to my room and got my bag ready and changed my clothes. As I was about to run to school Billy handed me my food and I shoved it into my bag. I ran to the school and ran into the office. I signed my name down to being late and got my diary signed and I ran to my English class, lucky it was only 10 minutes into the lesson. I walked up to the class door and I excused myself and handed her the late note. I went to my desk and sat down next to Eli.
He whispered to me “Becky, you came late on the last day of school and the day of the snow carnival.”
I turned to him and whispered to him “Oh my gosh, I totally forgot… like literally.”
Eli laughed at me I nudged him for fun and so I smiled back at him.
At lunch Emma and Imogen were making out at our spot outside were we always eat. I slam the bench with my container of pasta to get their attention. They look at me and I give the expression to them to spot and chill for a minute. Emma turns to me and says “I entered Imogen and I in the best couple competition.”
All these flashbacks come back to me of Eli, Elizabeth and I all in the interview room yelling at each other. I quickly answered her saying “That’s great I’ll be voting for you two.”
They both smile at each other and couldn’t help but to kiss each other. Lunch soon passed and so the last two lessons of the day.
When I started to walk home I felt the cold, bitter breeze I thought it was going to be a very cold snow carnival. I put on my winter outfit and fix my hair and beanie and I put on my winter themed make-up I start to head to the Park were the school committee set up the carnival area. I walk to the front entrance and hand the school principal my snow ticket. The entrance was grand they had fake snow all over the floor and the banner was so big and creative and instead of a red carpet it was a beautiful blue carpet. I first went to buy a hot dog and a drink. I waited in line for about 10 minutes and as I moved up to serve I was greeted by an annoying face. Jacob was on food duty.
I asked “Can I have a hotdog with tomato and mustard sauce on it and a Lemonade.”
“Is that all bitch…” he rudely said to me.
I crossed my arms and said to him as he was getting my order ready “You still can’t get over me, I got over you easily it should be about time you do.” He gave me an evil stare as I grabbed my food and drink from him and headed over to a bench. Imogen and Emma ran up to me as they got through the entrance and lucky they slowed down otherwise they would of mad me spill my drink. We all sat at the bench and we talked about what rides we were going to go on and Imogen and Emma couldn’t wait to hear who won the best couple competition. They both ran off and went on some Ice ride wile I started to wonder through the mini game area and look at all the other big rides. As I passed a game were you had to shoot a bird and win a prize I got a tap on my shoulder.
I turned around and there Eli was the breeze hit his hair and blew it back just as he was giving me a smile, I was melting again inside because he looked so gorgeous.
“Hey Becky, are you hanging with anyone tonight or….” Eli asked me.
“Nope I’m alone and bored Imogen and Emma are a bit too loved up to be with me and Adam is somewhere….so you can hang with me.” I replied.
We started walking a bit more, I noticed a giant slide ride. I nudged Eli and told him “We are going on that ride now! Haha”
I pulled his arm and we showed our pass to go on. We had gone on the giant slide for about 5 times until Eli stacked it at the bottom but luckily he wasn’t hurt. We played all these other mini games and lucky we avoided the fairest wheel because is where all the couples go on to having their private make out moment. We both headed towards the stage and the student council president was about to announce the couple who won. I saw Imogen and Emma near the front of the stage sharing a cotton candy stick and talking to each other. Eli had left for a moment and went to get some cotton candy for us. I tried to listen but it was hard because all I really heard was people screaming and people yelling to each other.
From the crackly speakers I heard “Imogen and Becky! Congratulations.”
I started to cheer and clap for them as I watch them get a certificate and kiss in front of everyone. Eli comes back with two strawberry flavoured cotton candy sticks.
Eli says to me “Well I’m glad they won, they’re the only couple that have been strong together.”
I look at Eli with a strange expression but Eli starts to lead me to the front entrance again. As we walk past the ticket box I ask Eli,
“I thought you didn’t like sweet stuff?”
He takes a bite and spits it back out “Yep your right it still tastes bad.”
And he walks off to a garbage bin and throws it out. I hear a car horn toot Eli turns to me and says “Well that’s my dad, I’m going for a holiday with the family.”
I answer back with “I hope to see more often next year, it was fun talking again.” I smile to him and he smiles back and he takes a few steps towards the car.
Eli stops and turns around and paces back to me. I look at him confused and I signalled to him to go to his car.
Eli said to me “I want to know what I think you mean…”
I take a deep breath and I step up to Eli and I kiss him. The cold breeze passes us and it blew Eli’s hair out of his face giving me a clear path for his lips.
We finish and I lower back down onto my flat foot. He gave me a grin and was about to say something but I cut him off again saying “Just think about us.”
“Forever and always”…
