It was the next school morning and when I arrived I saw Imogen waiting for and Eli at the front steps of school. Imogen and I walked casually and I tried to ignore Eli but he came up to me.
Just before as he was going to say something I cut him off telling “If you’re going to say something, tell me it never happened!” As Eli’s reply he looked down in shame and I walked angrily straight past him and slammed the front school entrance door in his face.
I realised in second period it was English. As I waked into the classroom I didn’t hear Eli’s voice I thought he was gone so I smiled, but then he was sitting in his spot in silence. As we made eye contact my expression went to sadness. For the whole lesson Eli and I never made eye contact or spoke to each other and as the bell went Eli reached out his hand to hold mine and do his serious talk to me, I grabbed my water bottle and spilled it onto Eli’s pants.
I said to him “You might not want to move until your little wet patch is dry, so don’t hold my hand!”
Eli’s facial expression was angry and I heard from the gossip that Eli sat there for most of break time waiting it to dry. For that whole week Eli and I gave dirty looks to each other, but he had no reason to be anger because he cheated on me in the first place and I was the victim. Eli pulled pranks on me which I got sick of, I wanted him to feel pain the ain I had when he cheated on me. As the principle was away from his office I noticed that he keeps the golden coin on his desk. The coin was the first coin given by the government to the school when it started meaning that the school should thrive and prosper with the children in a good learning environment. So I took it. In the hallway I noticed Eli and so I walked up to him and bumped him on purpose and dropped the coin in his back jacket pocket. I made a stink bomb that would let off the fire alarms and so as Eli was walking past the principal’s office I blew off the stink bomb so that Eli would go in help Sir and come out, and then the principal would realise the coin is gone and search Eli and he would be suspended for ages! Which my plan worked. Eli was so angry and confused and argued back to the principal. Eli noticed me in the background and I was holding a switch and grinning to him in happiness. Eli then realised I framed him.
Eli walked up to me in fury and said to me “Why would you do that! I am suspended for two and a half weeks!”
I replied whispering in his ear “I wanted you to feel the confusion and anger I felt when you cheated on me and the sadness I was in…. now deal with it princess hahaha” and I walked off to join Imogen and Adam.
The next two and a half weeks felt like magic I had no annoying ex bugging me or pulling pranks on me. Imogen came up to me in lunch break and said “You’re messed up Becky from your break up with Eli. You need someone new to make you happy again.”
I looked to Imogen and smiled and answered “You’re right Imogen, someone who is fresh, clean, nice, kind and will be even better than Eli ever was.”
As we both walked to our lockers Imogen had parted from me to go to her locker and I went to mine. I was so dumb and reading some book for History that I didn’t realise I was walking right into someone doing the same thing as me, he was reading. We both bumped head but since he was taller and stronger I fell back. Just as I was about to tell him off I looked up and I had seen the one. He held out his hand and helped me back up.
He apologized saying “I’m sorry that I wasn’t looking where I was going and hit you.”
I smiled back in a shy was and replied “Oh no I’m sorry I hit you because I wasn’t looking where I was going.”
We both looked at each other and smiled. We both realised we were reading the same book for history.
In sync we both asked each other “Are you in my history class?”
I then said “I’m in Year 10 History are you in….?”
“Year 11 History, I have to read the same book again for an essay thing I have to write.” He replied.
He asked me “May I walk you to your locker or class?”
I answered him “You can walk me to both.”
We talked about so many things and we found out more about each other and the similarities we both have. Just as I was walking into my class I turned back and asked him “What’s your name? Mine is Becky”
He smiled back and said “I’m Jacob… nice meeting you Becky” I smiled to him and he walked off. For the whole of history I forgot about what I was reading and dreamt of Jacob and I talking to each other for the whole lesson.
When Eli returned his mood changed he was more evil looking than ever before, but I didn’t care because I met someone new. Posters went up around the whole school advertising about the game night at a diner. The diner’s name caught my eye it was the one Eli and I went to. I looked back to Eli to see what his expression was but Eli did the same and we both got eye contact for one second and quickly looked back around. Jacob saw me and approached he said to me he was going and so I thought I’ll go as well because I know Eli would never turn up to school related events.
