I arrive at school the next day and Eli comes up to me and doesn’t kiss me. I think he is still scared of what happened last night and so I kiss him first. He then looks at me and smiles and so I say “You can still kiss me whenever you want”. He then kisses me again but more passionately and at least he did it sensibly.
We go to our lockers and Eli leads me into empty classroom and shows me two tickets. Eli tells me “there is the valentine free lovers dinner and dance at the Italian restaurant we went to and the ticket says only 16-18 year olds allowed in on the night. I straight away yanked it out of his hand and hugged him and said “Of course I’m coming!” The bell had gone and Eli stayed in the classroom for his Math class and I went to the Science lab for my lesson.
It had come to break time and Imogen wouldn’t stop sucking face with her drama class girlfriend and as I got to our table I made sure that her girlfriend would leave for alone bestie time. So I smashed my books and lunch onto the table and gave Imogen a nasty stare and then Imogen said “Hey Becky this is my girlfriend Rachel.” I then gave Rachel a nasty stare because for the whole of last week I barley talked to Imogen for a long time. Rachel got the message and gave Imogen a quick kiss and left to sit with her other friends. As I sat down Imogen growled to me “You didn’t have to be mean to my girlfriend, I’m not nasty to your boyfriend!”
I replied “Imogen we haven’t had our own time to talk like bestie to bestie.”
“Oh sorry Becky I just thought you might be Ok with me and Rachel” Imogen replied.
“Well Imogen I’m sorry I scared your girlfriend away but can we talk now I have something to gossip about”.
Imogen and I leaned into each other and so I said “Are you going Bella Roma’s restaurant for the free dinner and dance night on Valentine’s day.
Imogen answered “oh yeah, I’m taking Rachel to it.”
Then a soccer ball had hit my head I turned around to throw it back at them when I noticed John had kicked the ball, I froze still with the ball in my hand. John walked up to me and Imogen just sat and stared in worriedness. John had taken the ball out of my hand and dropped it onto the floor. He then stroked my hair and said “Why such beauty should go to waste with some trash.”
I swallowed and said in a worried way “Eli isn’t trash I love him.”
John grinned and leaned into my face even closer and said “Well maybe at this free dinner and dance night I might change your mind about Eli and might show what kind of man I’ll be with you.”
He stood up and walked away. I sat on the bench in shock and Imogen put his hand on my shoulder. I then turned to Imogen and said “Eli was right he was wanted to do something gross to me after the fight he had with Eli…” The bell had rung and Imogen and I went to our next classes.
It had then come to lunch and Eli was sitting down in the locker hallway and as I was about to run to him. Someone pulled my arm and took me into an Art room. It was John he then pushed me up against a wall and held my mouth shut.
He whispered into my ear as I was squirming to get free “Your still dating that trash, If you don’t break up with him now and date me I’ll break his face…” I bit his hand and screamed “Eli, Help!”
John had then held me tighter against the wall and started to kiss my neck and gradually go upwards to my mouth but I kept on moving and trying to scream. Then I heard running footsteps coming towards me and John was then taken off me and I fell to the floor and I noticed he hurt my arms and gave bruises on my leg and I saw bite marks on my neck from his violent kissing. I looked up and saw Eli give John a punch and yell at him. John got up and his mouth was bleeding and he walked out of the room but yelled “I’ll get you Becky!”
Eli had ran and slid onto the floor and lifted me up right but sitting on the floor. Eli wiped away my tears and gave me a long hug He looked down to me and said “Let’s get you home where you’re safe”.
Eli helped me to the office and said to the principal instead of me getting abused Eli said I had a bad fall. Eli drove me home and took me to my bedroom and lay me down and sat next to me until I woke up again.
