"What?" Mackenzie asks. "Callie is actually suppose to be in our grade right now. She actually 'cheated' her way up top you know?" Brittany explained while doing her nails.
"Yeah! And her sister, Marie, is surprisingly in our grade! Ugh, she's such a loser! She even fai- huh?" Michelle, Nickole's other friend said but suddenly got interrupted by her hand saying for her to shut up.

Michelle has pink hair which is dyed - obvi, tied into a silky ponytail, peace hoop earrings, wearing ripped jeans and a pink cropped top.
"Michy, shut up. Anyway," Nickole harshly said, flipping her hair, "she is so stupid! I hope you're not going to end up like her - failing at the last step!" Mackenzie blinked back in confusion. She shrugged her shoulders and popped a Tick Tack in her mouth.

"In other words, She wanted to be - UGH, stupid lipstick! Uh, she wanted to be a popular girl like US and well, like you, she succeded everything except the last one," she explained while doing her lipstick. "Oh I see. Well, about that, I wan-!" Mackenzie said but got interrupted by the chauffeur.

"We're here! Have a good day girls," he politely said to them. Nickole just huffed and so was her little army as she got off. Mackenzie, who was feeling bad, said to the chauffeur thanks. He got surprised so, he did a little smile. "Come on, fleabag! We haven't got all day you know!" She yelled.

Mackenzie ran towards her house to unlock her door. As she did so, the girls had ugly looks on their faces. "Ew, um, Mac...  Are you sure this is your house? OMG... This is disgusting!" Nickole whined.

"Hey! This is My house and I decide! So either take it, or leave it!" Mac yelled.
The popular girls didn't say anything. They weren't used to getting talked that way.
"Huph," Nickole retorted, "you're right. Anyway, lets get this over with." Mackenzie nodded and showed the girls where the living room is.

"Great. So, in order to be like us, you need to be sassy. Oh! Let me call one of my dorky friends and I will put it on speaker," she told her with a smirk. She dialed a number on her phone. It rang for 3 times and someone answered it.

"H-hello?" A girl with a squeaky voice can be heard. "Yes, um, Chrissie, would you care to come to my BFF's house? We are gonna have lots of fun," She chuckled.
"OMG really?! You never ask me to go ov-! Wait, is it a trick again?"
"No! It's perfectly safe," as She said this, the girls behind her snickered.
"Oh. Um, o-okay. Thanks for the offer. Bye!" and there was a click.

Nickole closed her iPhone 8S+ and looked at her.
"Okay! You're going to be mean to her. As She comes in, you snap at her to take off her shoes in front of the doorway. If you Just ask her nicely, she will just ignore you. Just remember: sassy!"

Mackenzie gulped down the lump in her throat. Is she seriously going to be mean to that girl? The ring of the doorbell interrupted her thoughts.
"Oooh, she's here! If you fail this, you're gonna have a bad time with us," Nickole whispered in a dangerously low tone. Mackenzie got out of her couch and walked towards the door. She looked back at the girls and they smiled. Mac did a deep breath and opened the door.

"Hi! Are you Nickole's BFF?! It's so nice to meet you! Can I come in?" her voice was DEFINITELY squeaky. She has braces and short cropped hair that's chocolate brown. Her shirt was a cute picture of cat, and her skirt is casual. Mackenzie did a fake smile.
"Come in. Nickole is so excited to see you," She said between gritted teeth. The little teenage girl did a huge smile, to show her gratitude.

"Thanks!" and she came in with her shoes on. "Stop! Your... Ugly shoes is ruining my designer carpet!" Mackenzie lied. The girl turned around. A hurt look is spread across her face. "What are you talking about? These are 'Superstar Limited Edition Nike' shoes. I thought I could impress you. I wasted all of my allowance on this," she sulked.
"N-no, I don't care what you say! I already h-h-HATE..." before Mackenzie could continue her sentence, she stopped and looked at the girl.

She felt pity. Instead of doing a fake angry look, She has now, the 'I'm sorry' look. She suddenly hugged her. Everyone gasped. Mackenzie broke the hug to glare at Nickole and her puppets. They weren't happy. Suddenly, Nickole stood up from the couch and pushed aside the teenage girl and Mackenzie. She turned to face her.

"What the hell is that?!" she screamed, waving her hands in the air.
"I failed the test... Didn't I? Just like that girl. I understand now," she said with confidence. Nickole growled at her like a female dog. Suddenly, the girly nerd pushed Nickole out of Mac's face.

"Wh - What?! How dare you touch my designer outfit from Gucci!" she wailed and looked at the marks on her outfit. The girl faced Mackenzie. "Thank you," the girl timidly said. She just smiled. "Grr, fine! You failed! Be a dorky little chick then. You will never become one of us again! Come on girls," and they went to the exit, walking like they own the place.

Mackenzie smirked as she and that girl faced Nickole. She turned her head around to face her. "I'm sorry for snapping at you before. I wasn't thinking," she said.
"It's okay. My name is Marly."

Tomorrow is that time when she has to face the school. She went up to her bedroom and scrolled onto her phone In her contacts to call her mom. As she scrolled, a name caught her eye. 'Anthony'. She sighed. Should I call him? I mean, we broke up and all that ... She took a deep breath and pressed on the Call button. It ringed for 3 times before she could hear a faint "hello?'

"Um, hey Anthony. I was just calling for --"
"OH MY GOSH MAC! I'm glad you called! I'm so sorry!" Anthony half cried.
"Woah. Calm down, Anthony. I'm only speaking to you because I have nobody right now," she firmly told him. "Oh. So, you need me?" Even when he's on the other line, Mackenzie could tell that he was trying not to be too hopeful.

She rolled her eyes. "No, Anthony. I don't forgive you! It's just...! Never mind. Goodbye."
"Wait, Mac--"

She pressed the End Call button and the screen went black. She decided to not call anyone anymore. She had enough. Her eyes were closing, fatigued from everything so far. A few seconds later, her eyelids shut off and she went into a deep slumber.

-*-*-*-*-
"Mac! Mackenzie! Wake up!" Mackenzie opened her eyes and blinked when the blinding light hit her. "W-what? Where am I?" she asks, not aware that she was in her bedroom.
"Silly you! It's pink! Can't you recognize your own room? Tee hee," Ally snickered.
"Ugh, just how many hours have I slept?"
"Till tomorrow. You're gonna be late for school," Ally laughed.

"Oh crap! Um, get out Ally! I gotta change!" and she pushed Ally out of her room.
"Shoot... I'm not even ready!" Mackenzie hurried up as fast as she can and made it just in time for school.

Drrrring!

The bell could be heard throughout the school, telling everyone to go to class.
Mackenzie's class is Biology, the class she hated the most. The one who's sitting next to her is nothing but more, Brody. "Hey. You're almost late for class," he snickered, blowing a bubblegum bubble and then popped. "Grrr... You stay out of this!" she half yelled.

Brody just chuckled. "Hey, I like you. Care to be partners with me on a project?" he whispered. "No. Never will be. Keep on dream--" before she could finish, the teacher interrupted her. "Actually Mackenzie, we are going to do a project today with partners! In fact, you're going to be with Brody on dissecting a frog. Deal?" he raised an eyebrow, meaning to see if she understood.

Mackenzie just slumped back on her chair for a response. Now, the teacher is calling everyone to be with their partners. Brody suddenly, got near her face and grinned. His deep blue eyes twinkling.

"We will be perfect for each other. Don't you think?"
