How could I be so stupid?

What I feel right now is inexplicable.

What if what she told me is not a set up?

It sounds so surreal.

Who am I going to believe?

No it can't be true,Safaa is too innocent to behave that way and she will never let me know if she's really at fault.I was harsh on her after she narrated the story because I felt so heartbroken,she has not yet trusted me,she's afraid I won't stay with her through thick and thin and I have to correct that.

A lot of people believe that happiness exists in a matrimony when couples tell everything to each other,when they are open about their feelings and know that they'll work through whatever it is together.

I can't blame her for not understanding completely what it means to be married.

She's so young and naive.

And she must be shattered because of that envelope.I wish I could hug her,comfort her and tell her everything will be alright,but I need someone to tell me the same too.

I feel miserably lost and broken.

I almost bump into Mommy when I furiously left the room but she didn't say a word to me,She tapped my shoulder reassuringly knowing that I was battling with my emotions and I was thinking of a way to get to the bottom of it all.

And the first idea that popped inside my hazy mind is going to Rigar Dala as soon as possible.I have to find Moudu,clarify some things and get justice for my wife,if really he did all of these things without her consent.

Astagfirullah.

Why do I even think Safaa will allow anything as nasty as that to come between her and that filthy idiot.

I grabbed my car keys and drove in full speed out of the house,I picked up Ma'aruf because am in no shape to drive and we left for the village together.

I parked my car in front of Grandpa's house first upon our arrival.I didn't even inform anyone about coming and so Grandma got startled thinking something bad happened and I came to inform her or take her with me.

"Grandma calm down"

"Everyone is fine,though not everything is" I added.

"Ahmadu are you talking to me in riddles now? Tell me why you came here suddenly,Ya Ilahi don't tell me something bad happened to Safaa,I had a nightmare dama,shikenan kawai" She said already wiping some tears.

"Safaa is fine,not so fine though" I whispered the last part.

"Dude you're making the old woman worried,can you stop talking in riddles or whatever she called it" Ma'aruf begged.

"Inna I came to look for Moudu,I have something serious to ask him"

"Moudu kuma?" She sniffed wiping her tears with the end of her wrapper.

"Yes,actually he delivered something to me and Safaa stumbled on it first,it contains something only him can clarify"

"Turqashi" She mused looking distant.
