Chapter 23

Jason's P.O.V. 
  Sarah sleeps in till noon, which I don't mind. I stayed in bed and watched TV on low volume. I didn't want to leave her side for too long in case she woke up.
  "What time is it?" She asks when she stirs awake.
  "Little after noon. Why?" I ask.
  "Just curious." She says shrugging. She moves closer to me settling her head on my chest. I play with her hair as she stares at me.
  "I love you." She whispers.
  "I love you too." I say in a low tone too. She moves closer to me and brushed her lips across mine. I'm about to lean in when my phone rings. I curse under my breath as I reach for it. Brandon.
  "Hello?" I say coming out more I question.
  "Hey. Just getting a check in. Do you have Sarah?" He asks.
  "Yes. I'll tell you more in person." I say. Sarah raises an eyebrow at me.
  "Okay well I'm happy to hear the good news. Tell Sarah me and Kelsey say hello." He says.
  "Will do. Bye." I say and hang up.
  "Brandon and Kelsey say hi." I say. She gives a small smile at the mention of their names.
"Okay. By the way, where are my bags from my shopping trip?" Sarah asks.
"They are in the closet." I say with a questioning look.
"You didn't go through them right?" She asks. Why is she so worried about this all.
"No. I had Jeff drop them off. Why are you so weird about this?" I ask.
"No reason..." she trails off getting out bed. She leaves the room for a little bit before coming back.
  "What are you doing?" I ask. She just comes back to me like she never did anything.
  "Nothing." She laughs.
  "Okay." I say. We sit and watch TV for a while before Sarah speaks up.
  "Jason, can I ask you something?" She asks.
  "Of course." I say with a soft smile.
  "When's your birthday? I don't remember you ever telling me." She says.
  "It's January 31st." I tell her. Now that I think about I don't know hers either. We've been dating 8 months and we didn't know this about each other. We are horrible people.
  "It's so soon!" She says with excitement.
  "Yeah but it's nothing to get crazy over. When's yours?" I ask.
  "April 1st." She says with a wide grin.
  "Your such a fool." I laugh. Her face goes blank.
  "Everyone says that. It's kinda annoying." She says.
  "Well your my fool. Can they say that?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
  "No." She says with a playful grin. It's so nice to have Sarah in my life. I just think about those first few months when we were together. She wanted me to stay the night on our first date. The way I pushed her against the wall that night. She was such a tease back then and so innocent. She still is today but she's changed a little. I love the way she's evolving into this amazing lady all because of me. I just can't stop thinking about how I'm gonna have this amazing lady for the rest of my life.
  Having my father take her away from me really showed me how grateful I am for her. It made me realize what I loss in that short time. Even though it was horrible what happened part of me I'd thankful for what it showed me in terms of having Sarah.
"What are you thinking about?" She asks crawling into my lap. I love when she sits in my lap. She looks so small and innocent looking up at me with her blue eyes.
"I'm thinking about you." I say pushing a lock of her strawberry blonde hair behind her ear. She so beautiful the more I get to know her and study her face. She notices me looking over her features and blushes dropping her eyes to her lap. She always used to that when we first started dating. It's so cute.
"Why me?" She asks shyly. She so adorable. I slip a finger under her chin and lift it so I can see her blue eyes.
"I'm think about you because I love you and can't believe that I'm blessed to spend the rest of my life with you. I can't get over of everything we've been through and your still here by my side." I say softly. She blushes ever harder.
"I guess we're soulmates." She says quietly. My heart skips a beat.
"I love you so much Sarah. I can't wait for you to take my last name." I say.
"I love you too Jason." She says. I lean down and kiss her. The hand that was under her chin now cresses her cheek and our lips fold together. To this day I still love he way they fit so perfectly together. Sarah breaks our soft kiss.
  "Is it a bad time to say I'm hungry?" She asks with a smile. She so cute.
  "Not at all baby." I say.
  "Okay. Well can you order some pizza or something?" She asks.
  "Yeah sure." I say grabbing my phone. I call the local pizza place and order Sarah's favorite, a large pizza with green peppers, cheese, and sausage, It's honestly delicious. She also like the BBQ chicken wings so I get them too.
"Thank you baby." She says as we head downstairs to be ready for the pizza delivery guy.
"My pleasure." I say. We go to the living room and sit on the couch Sarah starts to shiver.
"Are you cold?" I ask her.
"A little.." she trails off. I get up and start a small fire in the fireplace just the way Sarah likes it. Soon the smell of firewood fills the house. I cuddle back next to her as we wait for the food. Thirty minutes later the door bell rings. I get up and grab my wallet off the table and walk to the door.
The man hands over the food as I fumble for my wallet. Sarah walks over taking the food away. I pass over the due amount and a tip. I close the door and find Sarah eating on the couch with the TV on. Family guy plays while she munches away.
I grab a slice and do the same as her. The rest of the night we eat food on the couch and watch TV till we both fall asleep on the couch.
