They packed up the van early the next morning, Jonah volunteering to drive to the next state, the special and secret state, and Corbyn sat up front with him. The group was surprisingly quiet as they drove through Utah, them beating the sunrise as they listened to the radio in silence. Jessie was leaning her head back against the seat, her leg bouncing, her lips set in a fine line as she waited for her phone to vibrate.

"Jack, no stop." Charli giggled as Jack was holding up her phone from her, smiling down at her.

Jack," Charli whined and continued to reach for her phone and Jessie rolled her head to look at the two beside her and she fought the urge to bash her fist against Jack's face. She knew he was flirting around with Charli just to get under her skin and it was working. 

They had fought all night and when she ended up sitting beside him the car, she had left as much space between them as she could but Lee was beside her, closest to the window and she didn't want to push the girl against the door. 

Jack had finally given Charli back her phone and they were laughing about something, Jack was obnoxiously loud, and Jessie sat up making sure to elbow him as she did it. Her phone buzzed, a message from Dustin finally appearing and she opened it to continue yet more arguing.

Dustin🖕🏼: I just wanna talk to you, it's been two years Jess, can't we talk?

Jessie💕: we are talking

Dustin🖕🏼: come on you know what I mean, I miss you

Jessie💕: we're over Dustin, there's nothing we could possibly be talking about right now 

Dustin🖕: maybe the guy you posted on your snapchat story? i see you've moved on

Jessie💕: of course I have after two years, we dated for a month, what do you seriously want?

Dustin🖕: let's hang out when you get back home? 

Jessie💕: when I get home, I'm seeing family and that's it, I have to leave right after anyway

Dustin🖕: okay.
