"you caused my heart to bleed and you still owe me a reason cause I can't figure out why" - ben cocks
"Charli, you can't be serious right now," Jessie said in disbelief, the girls all sat by the pool in the late morning, a few children were splashing around in the shallow end of the pool as their mothers were immersed in conversations at the umbrella covered tables.
Charli squinted behind her sunglasses, the Floridian sun shining painfully down on them. Her head was pounding and all the aspirin she had taken that morning wasn't doing anything to help her hangover.
"I'm not ever going to see Jared ever again, and I didn't even have sex with him so chill, you guys know the only reason I'd have sex with a guy is if to say goodbye, like I don't want to see him ever again or if I really love him but he's just a friend I'm giving up, alright?"
"Did Zach fit into one of those to categories?" Leylah joked and Charli tried to laugh but winced as a pain shot through her head.
"He was a... different story, anyway it's not like I regret meeting up with him, plus Corbyn almost got Chanel pregnant, I just don't feel like playing this game anymore. Corbyn can think I had sex with Jared all he wants but low and behold, I'm not playing this game anymore," Charli responds nonchalantly, Emilia tilted her head at the short haired girl and narrowed her eyes.
"Wait, is he just trying to get two girls pregnant or something?"
"What?"
"I think you need to go back to sleep."
"Emilia just shush."
Charli shook her head softly, a smile creeping onto her face. "No, well I'm not, I'm not an idiot like him and obviously I'm incapable remember?"
Leylah was about to speak when Jessie's phone began ringing, they all watched as she picked it up, answering it quickly but pulling it way instantly as the voice on the other end shouted.
"So you're just gonna fucking come home and not even see your family? What kind of shit is that Jessie?! I'm your father, who raised you and worked hard to provide for you and you pull some shit like this?! Are you kidding me?!"
"Dad, Dad calm down I -"
"Don't you tell me to calm down! I've had enough of how you've been acting since you've left home! Since you moved out you think you're all that and just leave us behind? Huh? Is that it? You know what? Where are you right now?"
"Dad I didn't leave you behind! You wouldn't even answer my calls or my texts! It wasn't even me, could you stop yelling so we could talk this out?"
Jessie stood up from the lounging chair, her friends watching her in confusion. She quickly slipped on her shorts and t-shirt even though her swimsuit was damp.
"No, I'm coming to get you right now, already on the way." Her father said sternly, Jessie closed her eyes briefly and took a deep breath. She knew he was just upset, letting his temper take control instead of thinking and she didn't want to get angry but it was rising in her the more he yelled at her.
"No you're not, Dad I'll come to the house just stop, I'll come to you." Jessie protested and started walking briskly back into the hotel, the girls following after her, the boys were just about to come out to the pool and she pushed past them, her long legs carrying her far as she made her way through all the people bustling through the hotel.
"Jessie? Jessie, what's going on?" Jack questioned walking behind her and she could barely him over the shouting of her parents at each other over the phone. Just as Jessie reached the lobby, her father was making his way inside through the automatic doors of the hotel. She hung up the phone seeing her step-mother Leigh-Anne running in after him, Jessie's baby sister Tyler on her hip.
