"and we can deny it as much as we want, but in time our feelings will show"-ariana grande

"We've been in this state for less than forty-eight hours and you've already started a prank war with us. You know, I thought those days were over." Charli exclaimed as she sat across from Corbyn in his living room.

Corbyn shrugged with a smile and said: "We just missed you guys and plus, it just makes things interesting."

"Oh yeah totally."

Zach entered the living room and raised his eyebrows seeing Charli there.
"Corbyn, what are you doing fraternizing with the enemy?" He exclaimed and Charli giggled,

"That's a big word for you, Zach." He frowned at her only for her to laugh a bit more, not noticing Corbyn hadn't taken his eyes off her.

It had been so long since he had seen her person it was like he was trying to soak up as much of her at once. She had matured more since he had last seen her, her hair had grown longer to reach her shoulders and she had stopped wearing darker colors to a softer aesthetic matching her personality well.

He wasn't sure how to take that he missed her transition but he just wanted to stare a little longer, however, she made eye contact with him and he looked down at his lap, his cheeks tinting.

"Hey, Bean, what's up with you? Usually, you are talking my ear off and now you've just listened to me talk since I got here." Charli said tilting her head at the blond boy who just sighed softly.

"I just missed my little Charli, you grew up on me and I remember when you were all goth and talking about the stars when I left, now look at you."  Charli blushed and leaned her head back on the sofa and lifted her shoulders up and down slowly.

"You didn't miss much, don't be down about it cause you're here now." She said softly and Corbyn was about to respond but the sound of Zach's voice again made him agitated.

"Aw, that's so cute! Gosh, do you guys remember when you dated? People always say girls and guys can't be best friends after relationships but look at all of us!" Zach said from the couch across from them and Charli looked down at her lap deciding to not comment.

It didn't bring up the best memories and it almost ruined so much, she never wanted to go back to anything like that again. That was why she started dating Jared, it took her mind off Corbyn and she thought it really removed any feelings she had.

But Jared didn't want to fall in love and she didn't know what she wanted, however, looking up at Corbyn seeing those sparkling blue eyes looking back at her, she suddenly wasn't so sure.

"Okay, would you rather eat a dog or, hmm or like a rat or something?"
Jack scrunched up his nose and gave her a funny look only for Leylah to laugh at him.

"Come on, tell me which one." She said hitting her knee with his and Jack sighed dramatically, "Fine, fine, I'd probably eat a rat maybe?"

"Ew!"

"I would never eat a dog! That's just wrong my friend." Jack said matter-of-factly and Leylah shrugged in agreement. "Your turn."

Jack thought for a sec then smirked at the brown-haired girl. "Would you rather kiss me, or Daniel?"

Leylah was taken aback by the question and Jack bit the inside of his lip in anticipation.
"Of all the would you rather's, that's the one you came up with?" Leylah said with a nervous laugh and Jack leaned back against his pillows.
