"watch your back briar. christian is mine!" she said as she stormed away. the boys of the class came in, alex, who is another baseball player, ryland and christian. apollo came in with them which was very weird. apollo looked pissed off, and christian didn't seem happy either. "hey, what happened you seem mad?" i asked him. "well your little buddy christian basically just told me to hop off your dick cause you're 'his'. why didn't you tell me you're dating him?! i thought you hated him!" he said. "i'm not apollo i swear! what did he say to you?" i asked getting concerned. "him and ryland both told me to stay away from you. christian said that you were his girl and you guys have been together for awhile now. ryland said that quinn was just his fake girlfriend, you were the real one." he said. "what the fuck!" i said as i made my way up to christian's seat. he looked abnormally good today, i'm not going to lie. "we need to talk, now." i said as i got to him. he nodded and got up from his seat. we left the room and went to the lockers down the hall. "why did you tell apollo we were dating?! i don't even like you. we've barely been talking, and just because you came over my house yesterday doesn't mean shit. you have quinn." i said sternly. "i-i don't know nora. i just, ugh never mind!" he said as he tried to walk away. "christian just tell me! why did you tell him that? you must've did it for a fucking reason!" i yelled. "it's because i like you nora! i've always liked you. i've been a dick to you, because i never knew how to approach you. it's always been you, nora penelope briar. i can't stand quinn, and i hate the way i am! this isn't me! she's shaped me into someone that i'm not. i'm sorry, for everything. please just give me a chance." he pleaded. "i don't know christian. you've been a dick to me since kindergarten." i said with a little giggle. even though me and christian didn't have the greatest friendship, at least we sort of had one. "how bout i take you on a date then? we can go see a movie or something, and i'll take you out to eat after." he said. "are you serious? you're still with quinn nimrod." i said. "i'll break up with her right now in front of everyone!" he said as he started to walk away but i grabbed his arm. "no, christian don't do that. it'll break her. even though i don't like her, i don't want her to go through that in front of everyone." i said. he looked surprised. "well, when i do will you still go out with me?" he asked. "i'll give you a shot." i said with a laugh. "why do you have such a good heart nora? all of us have made fun of you since the beginning of time, but you still choose to be nice and keep a smile on your face. how?" he asked. "well christian, i guess i'm just a daisy in a garden full of roses."
