Lauren's POV
After that dream, I decide to call and make an appointment with Dr. Wilson to find out if that was real or just my imagination.
I look up the number for the doctors office and dial. After it rings a few times an unfamiliar voice answers.
"Dr. Wilsons medical clinic Mandy speaking how can I help you?" The voice on the other end says.
"Hi, this is Lauren McBonny and I, um, could I speak to Dr. Wilson?" I stutter.
"Dr. Wilson is not in today, can I take a message for him?" She replies.
"Can I book an appointment to see him?" I ask.
"Sure! How's tomorrow at 1:00?"
"Sounds great. Thanks."
"No problem Hun." She says before she hangs up the phone.
Now that that's out of the way, I need to talk to Sarah. Maybe something like this happened to her too.
I grab my purse and run out the door towards Sarah's house. It's about a 4 minute walk, but I'm so deep in thought as I'm walking I almost walk right past it.
Will I only get these memories when I'm asleep? Will these memories tell me who the killer is? Does the killer know about these pills?
As I approach Sarah's house, I notice that all the lights in the house are off. I shrug and knock on the door. Sarah answers almost immediately.
"Hey!" She says.
"Hey. Can I come in? We need to talk about some stuff." I say.
"Ya sure. We can talk in my room." She leads up the stairs into the room I have been in many many times. She flops onto the bed. "So what's up?" She asks.
"Have you been taking those pills Dr. Wilson gave us?" I ask.
Her eyes shift to the bathroom for a split second and she hesitates slightly before answering. "Yeah, but they don't work. I did some research and they're a load of crap. Doctors just give us them to make us think they're helping when really, there's nothing to help this kind of memory loss."
"Oh." Is all I can say. I really thought I was getting the memories back. I really thought I could find out more about what happened that night. Now I really need to talk to Dr. Wilson.
"So how's Aaron?" She asks in a mocking voice.
"I haven't really talked to him lately. I've just been busy with other stuff... I love him so much but it's hard to go back to normal after something like this..." I trail off, not wanting to talk about that night.
"What about Ian? Have you heard from him since he went away to military training?" She asks, thankfully changing the subject and not talking about that night.
"No, but his mom said he's coming to visit in the next two weeks!"
Ian is a boy who used to be our neighbour when we were all little. He was always like an older brother to us, until he decided to join the military. He was so happy though, we all celebrated and supported him, even though we were all devastated he was leaving. He must have requested time away because of what happened to Meg...
"Poor Ian. He's away for a year and comes back to find out one of his childhood friends got murdered." She says bitterly. I'm surprised at how easily she uses that word.
"I did run into jack, though." I say, changing the subject.
"Really? How's he doing?"
"Not good. He's heartbroken, understandably."
"I think my mom said that he would be going to stay at his grandparents' house up in lockstown for a while."
Lockstown is at least four hours away. I'm a little jealous of him, leaving the drama to go and heal. He really loved Meghan...
"I just realized the time, I gotta go. Sorry." I lie as I get up to leave.
"Oh ok. Bye Laur" she says, giving me a hug. I leave her house and walk home. I couldn't talk Or even think about that anymore.
Even though it's only 8:30 when I get home I decide to go to bed. I need to know if those pill really work, or I'm just imagining what I want to see.
I brush my teeth and take my pills. Sarah says the pills are fake, but I'll find out tomorrow at the doctors appointment. It took me a while, but I finally fell into a deep sleep.

Dream"Truth!" Meg exclaims.
"Did you ever have a crush on Ian?" Sarah asks, raising her eyebrows.
".... maybe for a bit..." she says, blushing.
"OOOOHHHHH!!!!!" Sarah and I tease at the same time.
"Shut up!" Meg says, blushing even more. Sarah and I burst out laughing. Meh finally joins in and soon we're all doubled over laughing.
All of a sudden, Megan stops laughing.
"What's wrong Meg?" Sarah asks.
"Did you guys hear that noise?" She says, with a worried look on her face.
"What noise?" I ask.
"I think there's someone in the house!" She says, standing up.
"You're so drunk!" Sarah says laughing. "Come on, it's your turn"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I wake up, I feel sick. The murderer was in the cabin that night. Meg noticed it but we ignored it. If we had done something, Meg might still be alive.
I'm gonna be sick.
