::season three... I need a space hospital.
Also I have a few things to say but I'll leave it for the end, so here's your chapter!::
"Okay calm down. No stay there, we'll go get you. No, stop. We'll be right there just stay where you are." Shiro said standing and walking towards the entrance of the restaurant, leaving Keith sat in front of his remaining fries.
What?
He quickly stood up, following the older boy out to the truck they had drive here in. Keith couldn't read Shiro's expression, it was a mixture of concern and fear but also serious and placid.
After a few minutes of driving in a tense silence, Keith cleared his throat.
"What's going on?" He asked, only to be met with more silence. Shiro took a right turn and drove towards a small figure sitting on the curb. The closer they got, the more he was able to distinguish that it was Pidge. They held their face in their hands, but looked up at the sound of the truck approaching.
They stood up and dusted themselves off before opening the back driver's side door and climbing in. Keith looked at them through the rear view mirror, and even though Pidge kept their hair down, he could easily see puffy red eyes most likely caused by crying.
"Okay Pidge, how do you know he ran away?" Shiro asked, also glancing back to them through the mirror. Keith quickly turned to look at him with questioning eyes, and although Shiro didn't look at him, he nodded, silently answering the unspoken question
Lance?
They sniffed before answering, head still down "well one, he's not home. That's where I just was, I didn't notice his scooter was gone when I got there but his mom said he told her he was going to Hunk's"
"And did you call Hunk and ask if he was there?"
"No Shiro, I'm sorry I'm so stupid I must've forgotten to do the obvious" Pidge spat, before sighing "I'm sorry, I'm just worried"
"I know, it's okay. Did he say anything to Hunk?"
"No. Hunk was just as confused as I was, but he said he'd call if Lance showed up there"
Shiro began driving again "alright, well let's check a few places around here. Do you know of anywhere he might go? Like does he have a favorite restaurant or hangout place?"
"I don't know, he normally just comes to mine or Hunk's house. I know he does like the park, and the soccer field, and that cafe by your house, what's it called?"
"Dinah's" Keith spoke quietly, rethinking the only time he's been there.
Pidge stilled, apparently not noticing Keith's presence, or maybe just not expecting him to talk, or maybe just because of this whole situation being awkward between them.
"Yeah.. he goes there for ice cream after games. It's his favorite place." They said slowly.
They met Keith's eyes through the mirror, but didn't look away.
"Alright well, we're closest to the soccer field, so let's go there first" Shiro stated, making a u-turn that was more than likely illegal.
Keith turned his head around to actually look at Pidge, and their eyes followed his, still keeping their silence. They might not be on the best of terms, but at this moment, they both knew they had the same goal, and that was to find Lance. And they'd both do anything to do so, even if it meant they had to work together.
..............
"
Are you sure there's nowhere else he'd go?" Shiro asked, parking his truck on the side of the road. They had been looking for over an hour, and they'd gone to at least ten different places.
