It seemed my high school years were over. I had a month to get my grades up. Well I'm kinda failing. It's just school isn't my skills.

As of Maggie she's smart. She offered to help with any of my school work but I didn't wanna used her.

Yeah yeah I get it were dating. I helped her many times and I don't let my girl help me.

God every college and university want Maggie to attend. I get her GPA is off of the roof. I want to go to school with her but shit my grades.

Maggie and I were finishing our presentation for our language arts class. Shit this was hard. I should paid more attention in class.
"Gerald, having some trouble"
"Nah I got it"
"Baby are you sure"
"Yeah" I can't lie to her
"Okay. So after graduation you wanna spend time together before I leave for college"
"Yeah"
"You don't seem to be happy"
"I am"
"Gerald tell me what's going on"
"I think I won't be graduating"
"Why?"
"I'm failing"
"Why couldn't just ask me for help"
"Because I didn't want to use you"
"You never used me. How long were we dating? Like  ten months almost a year right? Have you ever used me?"
"No because" she cuts me off
"Because you love me Gerald"
"Yeah I love you so much baby" I kiss her
"So you wanna have a time together? Alone"
"Yeah"
"Have you received any letters from Loyola University?"
"No not yet Mags"
"Oh because I did"
"Congrats Mags" she was lucky to go to Loyola.
"Here this is for you" she gives me a letter. "Your also going coming with me"
"Mags, no you should have does this for me"
"Yes i did. Remember that song that you were working on"
"Yeah"
"They like it"
"No they didn't"
"They're giving you a full scholarship" I got up from me chair and hugged her and kissed her. "Thank you Mags. You should never done that for me, your idiot boyfriend"
"Babe your not an idiot. I just want to do it because you spoil me so much that I want to return that favor"
"This means to much to me thanks Mags"

Yup. Your boy Gerald graduated from Berkeley High School with an amazing girlfriend that was by my side in every moment. Now we're off to Loyola university. I was gonna focus on my music and she was going to focus on her poetry.

That day I made my ma happy. She cried because her two sons graduated and were off to college.

During the summer I got a part time job at Gordos and Maggie was working with her mom at the dentist office.

Me and Maggie moved in together in a small apartment complex next to the university. These college years will fly by so quick but I won't be alone cause I have the love of my life with me
