She didn't respond back. As I was exiting from the studio, I hear Devon arguing with Christoph. "I wanna talk with Gerald"
"Devon. He made it clear he doesn't want to talk to you get over him and move on" I walked towards them "hey Christoph, I'll handle it from here"
"No problem G" he walks away
"Gerald. We need to talk bout us"
"No Devon. I stopped loving you and still have feelings for Maggie"
"Yeah her! Maggie! This ended because you were 'oh me and Maggie did this and I feel bad that I sleep with you' I knew you weren't over her"
"I was never over her. Sorry Devon but us was the past" I walk from her and she continues yelling.

I arrived to my brothers house again. I knew he was hiding something from me. Maybe Maggie told him to do it.
"Hello again Gerald"
"Hey james. Where's Maggie?" I enter his house. I follow my brother to the living room.
"Maggie! Gerald here" my heart was pounding. I see her come towards me. Just like prom night, but she seems different. Did she change herself idk... "I'll leave you two alone" James goes to the other room. Maggie sitting across me. She was nervous to see me, fiddling her fingers and every second fix her hair.
"Hey Maggie. How have you been?"
"I...I...I'm fine Gerald"
"So what did you wanna talk"
"Gerald I'm.."
"Before you start, I just wanna say how I'm sorry of what I did to you for the past two months. I was stupid. I've so sad, hurt missing you so so much. I'd miss us" she begins to cry. I got up and went closer to her and wipe off the tears. "Remember how I'd told you I don't wanna see you cry because your to beautiful"
"Yeah, I remember" she giggled a little bit. I had to hug her.
"Please forgive me, I'll do anything but please don't.." she cuts me off
"Gerald I'm pregnant"
"Huh?"
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about" was this true. Maggie the love of my life, expecting a baby that's mine. She shows me the pregnancy test. "What does this mean"
"Two lines means I'm pregnant six weeks" she continues crying

"I get it Gerald. Your to focused on your music career and have no time for anything just partying and whatever you do"
"So you say that I won't be responsible for my actions. Maggie I know you suffer so much and yeah I'm occupied but how do you know this is my baby"
"You really think I would have sex with any other guy or with your brother. I would never to anything like that because I felt hurt, sad and lonely. When did I ever lie to you? Yes this is your baby because I had sex with you. Your doing the same thing as your father did" she was actually right. I was became as my father.

"Maggie I'm not saying that I'll be a dick like my father, it like me choosing between my career and my baby"
"Maybe it's best that you leave Gerald"
"No Maggie please"
"Leave now!" She runs to her room crying. God I'd tried to make things better but she brought up a baby situation. My brother come by "Maggie told you"
"Yeah she did"
"Gerald"
"I know James I'm a motherfucker that does give two fucks bout anyone just himself"
"Maggie needs you by her side even now that she expecting a baby, your baby"
"I just don't know how James"
"Look I don't wanna see Maggie hurt or cry again, it's not healthy for the baby nor for her. Didn't you feel great when you seen her again in person?"

"Then what the problem there. Do you really really really want to be with Maggie"
"I missed her a lot"

"Do you still wanna be with her even with this baby coming along?"

"That's your answer in life but don't screw it up again. I'll tell Maggie that you wanna see her"
"Nah tell her I'll come later or tomorrow"

"That is what brothers are for Gerald" I leave James house and went straight to my ma house.
"Ma?"
"Yes Gerald. What's wrong?"
"It's Maggie. I'd finally talk with her"
"Oh yes. What happened?"
"She's pregnant ma"
My ma gasps "oh dear."
"And I'm the father"
"Oh great! A baby Gillum on the way"she looks at me "aren't you happy Gerald"
"Yeah I guess"
"What's wrong?"
"Ma I'm scared. I have to choose between my career and this baby"
"Gerald in life you can't choose what is already done for example this baby. Don't do this same bullshit as your father, abandoning this poor incident baby neither to the beautiful mother that you wanted to be with for the rest of your life. You better not"
"I won't ma. I guess you and my brother James are right after all"
"Yeah. I can't wait to be a grandmother. What is its a boy or a girl"
"I don't know yet. She's barely six weeks pregnant"
"You both must feel lucky to become parents of this beautiful angel"

"Go be with Maggie. She needs you"
"Okay ma" I hugged my ma and went back to my brothers house for a third time.

Maybe it's best to be there for Maggie after all
