Secrets were a red flag to Maggie. Every moment she knew I was acting different since we'd start living together.

One, we weren't communicating as before
Two, I was going out so much and not spend time together
Three, my secrets that was the major issue that she had

I started my music career before the semester. I worked on my mixtape or just beats. I couldn't do this by myself. I need someone to help me. Like a manager.

"Marty?"
"Hey G, how has life treated you since the big change"
"Alright I guess"
"What's going on"
"Me and Maggie aren't spending time as before. She focused on work and poetry. And I'm least concerns her."
"Don't say that G. Yeah I get. You and Maggie have been busy lately with school and jobs but let time decide the right time. So why did you called me?"
"I need you to be my manager"
"Why didn't you asked Maggie. She would loved to be your manager" Marty is right why didn't I ask her
"She has so much in her plate and I didn't want her to have stress a lot"

"Yeah I do but I'm not that good boyfriend as she thinks I am"
"G what did you do"
"There's this girl named Devon Baldwin. We're just friends. But I kinda feel that connection with her."
"G don't do this to Maggie. You'll destroy everything what you have with her. Isn't everything special between both of you"
"Lately no"
"Because you guys work and are busy"
"But Devon is different. She understands me"
"Does she know about you and Maggie"

I stay quiet. "No because you didn't say shit. How could you Gerald. You live everything with Maggie and now you wanna end it because of this girl Devon"
"It's not that. I get it me and Maggie lived everything together but I think Devon is more different than her"
"How different. Maggie is that tomboy that you wanted. Come on Gerald don't fuck up everything. What do you want to make this more better. Lie to Maggie and date Devon secretly. Yeah I bet Mags won't feel happy that her boyfriend is cheating behind her back"

"Gerald do you actually love Maggie or Devon? Think that straightly. Don't do this not to Maggie" Marty left the apartment. Shit was he right. If I end it between me and Maggie I will never forgive my self. I should forget bout Devon. This can't be one of my secrets.

But fuck Devon and I can make it work. No Gerald stop this bullshit now.

Maggie came home.
"Hey baby" I ignore her. "Gerald what's wrong? Why are you ignoring me"
"Nothing"
"What's going on?"
"Nothing Maggie! I'm fine!" I yelled at her I didn't mean to. Fuck my mind is everywhere.
"You never yelled at me before"
"I said I'm fine!" I left the apartment.

I regret every moment of it...
