Third person's point of view.

Marina ran all the way to Canada. After she had gotten rid of any HYDRA bases she could find she returned home. And home wasn't really in good condition. So as a little mind-numbing project she set to work restoring the place, using what she had remembered to bring her childhood home back to its former glory. It didn't take as long as she had thought. The foundation was stable and the bases were strong enough for new additions, such as proper wiring and plumbing.

Going into town was easy and shopping was simple as no one knew her and so when she got two part-time jobs to buy the things she needed she wasn't surprised that months passed easily and calmly. Not having a tv kept Marina in the dark and she was fine with that she didn't want to know what was happening in the world, because if she knew she'd want to get back to it and both her and him out there would only cause more problems. She was there almost a year until Jimmy showed up.

He was tired and beaten when she came out of the house to see him, "Jimmy?" she said getting his attention when he looked up to meet her eyes she could see the pain behind them. "She's..." he mumbled, and fell to his knees. Catching his shoulders she held him to her and just let him sob into her shoulder. "Come inside I'll make you something and you can shower then I'll wash your clothing." he didn't even nod as she pulled him up and brought him inside.

Setting him up in his old room he looked around finally relaxing after having eaten and showered, "Here, change into this while I wash your clothing." she said holding out a red housecoat. Smiling softly at it, he took it and she left to let him change out of his towel and into the robe.

When he was dressed and comfy he went to find her, seated in the sitting room by the lit fireplace she had his torn shirt in her lap it was sewn back together and clean as were his jeans and X-Man suit. She had somehow found a way to mend it back to perfection.

Taking it from her he set it on the couch and scooped her up before carrying her to her room where he tucked her in and shut off the lights. Going back for his clothing Logan changed and left he needed to be alone he couldn't let himself be with his sister where she could get killed because she was with him just like Jean had.

Logan was also struggling with the issue that Barnes had called him up saying Marina had gone missing again but without the professor or someone to use his machine properly, it was going to be hard to find her, or at least that was how it was before Jean killed him and left Cerebro without a telepath to use it and then Logan killing her or that Logan had already found Marina.

But the super soldier had asked Logan to call him if he ran into her, but having spoken to his sister for a bit before showering he had learned of everything that had happened while he had told her what had happened to him the two sharing stories and he now didn't want to tell Barnes he knew where she was and simply left and went into hiding.

Leaving a note for Marina about where he went and who was looking for her and that he wouldn't tell them where she was, he left and hoped no one went looking for him.

Waking up the next morning to an empty house Marina frowned she was hoping Jimmy would stay and live with her for a while but after what he had told her the night before she knew he needed time and space to grieve.

Reading his note when she found it with his red robe both worried and eased her, as she knew he'd never tell a living soul where she was and that he wouldn't really be able to, what with him going to live in the mountains.
