~Recap~

“It’s just an experiment,” Liam whispered and closed the safe gap between us. Instantly, I felt something soft against my lips. My eyes bulged when I found it to be Liam’s lips. I sat there, shocked, letting him kiss me for more than a few seconds. I didn’t kiss him back, but I also didn’t push him off. It wasn’t until my brain kicked back in gear that I struggled. I used all my strength to rip my arm from his death grip and kicked him with a fierce kick to the stomach. His lips immediately disconnected from mine as he stumbled back several steps.

Liam stood there, bent over, panting with extreme confusion. I sat from where I was, staring straight at him, panting as well from using all my force in yanking my arm out and kicking him in the gut. My eyes were the size of saucers. I shakily brought my hand to the arm he held so tightly and rubbed the sore spot. With my other free hand, I gripped my bed sheets tightly. What the hell just happened? Why did he just kiss me?

“Alicia,” I heard a rasp and—dazedly—I looked at the speaker. “I-I’m sorry, I wasn’t--,”

And there it was. The emotions I waited for; the anger, the shock, the confusion. It all came down to me as if a dam just broke. Tears stung in my eyes. D-did he just force a kiss on me?

“W-what the hell is wrong with you?” I yelled, glad my voice came out angrily and clear. The hand that had been rubbing my arm flew to my mouth and repeatedly rubbed against my lips. “You can’t freaking force a kiss on me!” I shouted between rubs.

"I'm--I'm sorry!” he blurted before he dashed out of my room.

~Liam's P.O.V~

I admit, I regretted the fact that the kiss brought us apart, but I did not regret the kiss. I studied her closely. She was leaning against Zayn's shoulder, her blonde hair drooped over her face, creating a curtain in front of her eyes as she watched the movie, Footloose. From the smile on her face, it was clear she was loving every moment of it. A smile twitched on my lips. Out of all the things that had changed since the accident, her love for Footloose hadn't.

The movie ended, and the credits popped up. Alicia groaned and stretched while Zayn stood up with a yawn. Vanessa was already asleep on her couch. My first instinct was to complain about the movie, but seeing as she didn't remember it at all, I had no right. So instead, I did what popped into my mind, "Ali, let me drive you home, it's late."

"I'm fine," her terse reply came.

I frowned, "No really, it's no bother. It's on my way."

"I said, I'm fine," she said through her teeth.

She couldn't still be mad about that kiss, could she? If she was, I wasn't going to allow her to stay that way for long. It wasn't as if it was her first kiss, right? I could even say it was an accident. I watched her grab her jacket from the couch and walk outside through the door, the cold no doubt biting her flushed cheeks the moment she stepped out. I quickly grabbed my car keys and headed after her.
