Lyra sniffed the air slightly, then tilted her head. "Your scent is vaguely familiar...do I know you?" The hooded figure flinched, then regained their composure. Out of nowhere they attacked Lyra at full force. Having animal instincts, she dodged and lunged for her opponents back. Of course, it wasn't that easy. The figure turned around, grabbed her arm and threw her over their shoulder, resulting in her landing hard on her back. As soon as Lyra got back on her feet the figure attacked. Using their momentum, Lyra stepped to the side and tripped them. They rolled over to get back up but Lyra put her foot on their chest, pinning them. They grabbed her ankle but with a flick of her hand, Lyra summoned multiple weapons. "Stay down, I'm growing bored with this game." Lyra growled threateningly.
The one in charge announced that Lyra had passed the exam and Lyra helped her competitor up. Their hood fell away to reveal......
Simmons?!
"I'm sorry! If I had known it was you I would've refused to fight! I'm so sorry!" Lyra apologized repeatedly while tears streamed down her face. "N-no! It's fine! I'm glad I got to fight someone like you!!" Simmons reassured. When he saw that his words were ineffective, he pulled Lyra into a hug and stroked her hair softly, resting his chin on her head. "Shhh, it's alright." He soothed quietly. Lyra sniffled and dried her eyes. Jinx strolled up to then. "She whooped your ass." He commented. "To celebrate the butt beating of Simmons, I'm treating you to the best cake shop in town!"
Simmons whispered in Jinx's ear. "Don't look now but the spawn of the devil is coming towards us. I'll take the little cinnamon roll to Gigi's cupcakes and meet you there." With that, Simmons swiftly put the fox hybrid on his shoulder and walked off, leaving Jinx with 'the spawn of the devil'.
