Chapter 14

"Lyra how do I make it up to you? I swear to you it wasn't my intention to bring her here!" Jinx pleaded up to her. "I know Jinx.." she replied monotonously. "Then why are you mad at me?!" He was practically crying at this point. "Because I didn't get to eat my cake."

"W-what?!" Jinx was furious at her statement. "You're meaning to tell me that three weeks of agony was because you didn't get your cake?!" "Yep, Lyra stayed this matter of factly. Steam was practically erupting from his ears.

Lyra and Simmons looked at each other before bursting into laughter, nearly on the verge of tears. "Lyr' you owe me an ice cream pie! He snapped before a month ended!" Simmons was barely able to choke out the words through his laughter. Lyra pouted at this, annoyed that she had lost the apparent gamble. "You guys betted on me?! I want an ice cream pie too in a form of apology!

Lyra groaned inwardly. "Fiiiine.. lets go you hobgoblins..!" She stalked towards an ice cream parlor, the two males following triumphantly behind. As they entered the chill, sweet smelling building, Lyra's nose twitched from a familiar scent. It took her a moment before she recognized the scent.

"Cinnamon Rolls!" Lyra's face lit up at her realization. She hadn't gotten to try one since Simmons was always around. Just as she was rushing towards the Simmons grasped her shoulders and tried to hold her back. "Noo! Not cannibalism!" He cried, practically getting dragged. He then looked at Jinx. "Halp meh save her innocence!!"

Jinx stared blankly. Moments later both men were holding Lyra back chanting. "You're too sweet to be a cannibal!!!" In the end Lyra got a butter pecan ice cream, and the males got nothing, hoping she wasn't too mad. Just as they walked into the streets it started to snow. It was winter, and that was a reminder that Christmas was coming. Lyra smiled up into the snow and laughed, running towards the dorms. "Race you! Last one home has the make dinner!"
