Simmons walked into the cake shop and let Lyra off his shoulders. "Get anything you want, my treat." Lyra just stared at the display case in awe, practically drooling. "Well, anything but a cinnamon roll. That'd be cannibalism." Simmons reconfirmed. After a hard 5 minutes of looking, Lyra settled cute yet inexpensive cake.

Just as the two were about to cut into the cake, they heard a painfully familiar and obnoxious voice. "Jiiiiinx! I want that one! Nooow!!" She whined. "Sasha you see how expensive that is! You need to choose a different one." Sasha pouted. "Fine!" She said. "If you won't buy it for me I'll get someone else to!" Jinx groaned, tired of this insufferable woman. As her eyes scanned the room looking for rich looking young man, her eyes landed on the booth where Lyra and Simmons were seated. "Jinx!" Sasha shrieked. "What the hell is SHE doing here?! Is she trying to take you from me?! That little mutt is trying to steal my fiancé!"
Lyra had heard enough at this point. Slamming her hands on the table, she pushed her chair back and stalked towards the shrieking banshee named Sasha. Lyra stood calmly in front of her, closed her eyes, and calmly brushed some hair out of her eyes. "Excuse me, I don't think I heard you correctly. What the hell did you just call me?" Sasha smirked. "You heard me. Mutt." Lyra smiled, hatred burning inside of her. "Do you wanna take this outside, get humiliated in here, or just plain back away now?" She asked.
(AN) Hey guys, it's been a while since an actual update. I'm gonna try to update more often but honestly I have no confidence. I'm really hoping I get some soon because I really enjoy writing this! It was kinda scary to find out that a class of college students read this and so far, the only people who really support this story are kawaiigalaxyunicornand IbanoLario .
