The Gifted | Shocks

"I'm just tryna get to know ya."
- Chris Brown

The loud annoying sound of Harry's alarm clock woke him up out of his sleep and the bright sun shining on his face made him scrunch up his face in annoyance when he opened his eyes a little bit. He groaned and reached over to turn his phone off so the alarm would shut up. It was his first day of senior year and he isn't looking forward to it either. He hates school with a passion and wished he could do online schooling but his mother wasn't allowing it so he had to go.

Getting up from his bed he dragged his feet to his bathroom to do his morning routine. He started to turn the nozzles to take a shower that will wake him up from his sleepy state, his brown hair stuck to his face as he just stood underneath the shower washing his body and thinking about how his year was going to go for him. Giving up he decided to turn off the water and get out of the shower. He wrapped a white towel around his tan hips and went to his closet.

Not caring about impressing people he grabbed a black shirt, some black skinny jeans, his white Converse, and his favorite dark red hoodie to put on. After drying his body off and putting on some deodorant underneath his armpits he got dressed into the clothes he picked out. His hair was kinda damp but he didn't care about it too much. After tying his shoes, getting his car keys, unplugging his phone, and his grabbing backpack he made his way downstairs of his lonely house. He could hear his mother talking over the phone while she skillfully made herself some coffee and her son's lunch.

"I told you that I wanted more lavender material not mint green," says Anne Styles over the phone, she sounded irritated and she was. "What do you mean by that? I simply told them what I wanted."

Harry grabbed his sack lunch from the granite counter and placed it in his backpack listening to his mother rant over the phone. Anne didn't pay too much attention to her son because she was too busy planning people's wedding. He felt almost neglected even when they lived in the same damn house. It was like she didn't even care about him anymore.

So Harry decided to leave and go to school since his mother decided to put her job over her him. Jogging down his porch steps he unlocked his car and got in. After throwing his backpack in the passenger seat he pulled out of his driveway and drove to school.

Harry attended Woodwind High and he has been living in this area ever since freshman year. After the divorce between his parents and his mother's new job he was practically forced to move into a new city, and they had to move especially what happened after their son's shocking discovering.

The seventeen year boy wasn't..normal to say at least. He was different mentally, physically, and emotionally from the rest of the kids in his city and he knew that he was different. The young boy could do things that no one ever thought was possible. He was human but he wasn't human.

"Fuck my life," Harry mumbled when he finally pulled up to his school's parking lot. This was the most elite school in their district and he despised almost everyone who walked the hallways. It was like he could already smell the drama brewing from inside the damn school.

The brown haired boy got out of his car and mumbled a few curse words when he entered the school's building. People were laughing obnoxiously and some were already gossiping about the events that happened over the summer. In all honestly..Harry wanted to go back home and locked himself in his room all day so he wouldn't be here.

"Harry Styles," he spoke in a monotone when he confronted the front desk lady for his schedule.

"Here you go sweetie," she smiles handing him the printed paper.
