EDITED

"...And lastly this is the lunchroom where everyone obviously eats." Alex informed me.

"Oh ok, got it." It didn't take much time for Alex to show me where all my classrooms were. Despite the size of this school building, it's actually pretty easy to find your way around it. Or maybe Alex is just really good at explaining things.

It's currently passing time still and Alex managed to explain everything to me in a matter of two minutes minimum. Passing time is three minutes, so I had a minute left to go to my next class. Sadly Alex didn't have anymore classes with me besides World History and Lunch. Right now I have Math and Alex has Art.

"Are you good for now? I hope I didn't confuse you with my complicated explaining. I suck at explaining" Alex laughed.

"I'm good, I think I can manage. If I forget where my classroom is I'll just ask around"

Alex and I waved goodbye and and we both parted our different ways.

I didn't really mind math. It wasn't my favorite subject but I happen to do really well in it. Thanking the lord for this assiigned seat. Everyone's been the new kid at some point and I bet everyone went through that awkward moment trying to find a place to sit in.

The boy i was assigned to next to greeted me with a smile as I made my way to the empty seat next to him.

He was wearing a navy blue abeercrombie polo, khakis, and a pair of Sperry's.

Can we just take a moment of how he dresses. He was cute but I sure as heck was not going to be the one to tell him.

"Hey I'm Matthew, but you can call me anytime"

Did he really just...

"Oh" I gave him a questioning expression but eventuallu i ended up laughing and he burst into a fit of laughs as well.

"Mhm" our teacher cleared her throat. "Mr.Espinosa I don't have to move your seat away from Casey do I?" Ms.Tuthill asked.

We must've been giggling quite loud if the teacher heard us all the way from the front.

"No Ms. Tuthill." Matthew said sitting up much straighter in his seat and his voice in a much calmer tone than he had previously from all the giggling that just happened.

"Let me start over, Hey I'm Matthew but you can call me Matt if you'd like." He said with a grin.

He removed his hand from his knee and pulled it up for me to shake. I shook his hand "I'm Casey."

Since it's the first day of school I'm guessing we didn't really have to do much. We'd probably start getting to work next week on Monday. For the rest of the period we just talked amongst ourselves.

Matt introduced me to two of his friends Cameron and Niall.

"Casey, if you need anything just ask us." Matt assured me. The three of them shared the same personality, they were so bubbly and easy to like. They're easy to approach. I liked them and I could tell their feelings towards me were mutual as well. They're the type of guys I'd like to keep around for the long run. Platonically that is.

I don't know how girls can get through breakups and act like it doesn't hurt to see their ex with someone else. Reading fanfics about breakups and rejection already give me chest pains. The real deal would be too much for me to handle.

A sharp sound flooded through my ears pulling me away from my thoughts. Forty- five minutes already passed and the bell rang indicating we had to go to the next class printed on our schedule.
