Casey's P.O.V

I gasped for air once I swam up to the surface. I rub the water out of my eyes, and once I open them I see Sam smiling.

He swam nearer and cornered me at the edge of the pool. One of his arms were beside me while his other arm gripped my waist to keep us steady and keep us close. A little too close. My shirt was flying up a little, which gave Sam's fingers the opportunity to slightly graze my skin.

My stomach fluttered at the small contact. I don't know why, but I just got butterflies, what the heck?

"You really think you'd get away with that babe?" His face only inches from mine.

Babe. He knows I don't like it when he calls me babe, but I don't feel like bantering with him right now, especially with all these people around.

Oh please, you know you like it when he calls you babe. My subconscious teased.

I cursed at myself for thinking that. Yes, Sam is cute, doesn't every other girl think so? The difference between the other girls and I is that I'm not easy to get. Besides, no one wants me anyway and I'm fine with that.

I pushed myself away from him. I realized we were getting too close. Once I left his touch, I saw slight disappointment overcome Sam's features but he quickly recovered and just smiled.

I couldn't stop the giggles that fell from my lips. I couldn't take him seriously with his wet hair. The water flattened out his hair, completely letting it fall down onto his forehead.

"What's so funny?" He asked.

"Your hair."

Realization hit him and he did a hairflip to recover his appearance.

"Aw you look adorable" I laughed.

"Reed, I don't do adorable. I go for hot instead." And he turned his head slightly revealing his jawline and looked at me in the eyes and wink.

This just made me laugh even more.

"Psht, you act like your hair is better." Sam laughed.

"I'm fully aware that my hair looks ridiculous right now? Ok? I mean after all, I did get shoved into a pool." I said.

Sam chuckled.

"Case, are you okay? I brought you a towel." Matt interrupted.

"Yeah I'm okay, thanks Matt" I smiled and he pulled out his hand for me to grab onto.

Cameron jogged over and asked if I was okay as well. He said he had an extra hoodie in the back of his car, so he said he'd lend it to me. I'm grateful that Cameron is letting me borrow his hoodie. My clothes are sticking onto my body and it's not a comfortable feeling.

This is one of the times where I wish I was a boy so I could just pull off my shirt.

I remembered that Sam was wet too and no one even bothered to get him a towel. I turn around to see him out of the pool, shirtless.

He didn't have one of those muscular bodies, but he wasn't scrawny either. Besides his toned arms, his stomach was toned, as well as his back. Tiny beads of water dripped down his perfect toned body.

I must admit, he doesn't look that bad right now.

Shiz. Ugh I probably looks like I'm checking him out. I tried to play it off by looking around the backyard.

"You like what you see Reed?" Sam teased while walking over to me.

"You would of thought, Wilkinson. Anyways, do you need the towel?"
