EDITED
"Alright, Girls vs Boys. Split up."
and Mr. Scott blew his whistle.
Everyone already changed into their gym uniforms. Girls had to wear a school t-shirt and either basketball shorts or sweats. I chose sweats because it was cold in the gym and im not about to show off the slight stubble growing on my legs.
I look around and notice that I'm the only girl wearing sweats. oh.
There are these two specific girls who you could tell despise wearing sweats because their shorts are so high up it's barely covering anything. Their shirts were even tied up showing their stomachs. What the heck, they might as well not wear anything at all. I'm not one to judge, i don't even know them. I guess they're really confident in their body, which is something I cannot relate to.
One of them had yellowish-blonde straight hair and the other girl had brunette curls. I believe their names are McKenzie and Kimberly. I do recall from when Mr. Scott checked over attendance in the beginning of the period.
The guys on the other hand were given the choice to wear a white loose muscle tee or a regular school navy t-shirt paired with basketball shorts or sweats.
A majority of the guys chose to wear muscle tees. Let me just tell you, the muscle tees perfectly showed off some of their toned arms. I can't even breathe right now.
I didn't know any of the girls in my gym class besides two Asian girls who were from my World History Class. I had the feeling they didn't wanna be bothered since they were in their own little corner. Two girls who were laughing with one another and hitting a volleyball back and forth. They looked more interesting than the majority of the other girls who were just on their phones probably taking selfies or tweeting about how boring gym is.
Let me just introduce myself instead of standing here alone.
"Hey guys" I smiled.
"Oh hey" the two girls said in sync. They were both really pretty. Like super pretty.
"Sorry for interrupting your small game, I felt kinda awkward standing alone doing nothing." I wasn't really sorry but they didn't need to know that.
"It's no biggie. You're Casey right, the new girl. I'm Brielle, and this is my friend Anna." Brielle had fairly tan skin and long brown wavy hair. She had the most perfect smile I've ever seen, even with braces on.
"Nice to meet you Casey" Anna held out a hand for me to shake. Anna was a bit shorter than Brielle. She was really pretty too. She had poofy hair at the top of her head but the ends of her strands had curls. Creating an interesting look that I would never be able to pull off besides her.
"So, are you ready to beat the guys?" I asked.
"The guys usually beat us since the girls never really try." Anna said.
"What the heck are you serious!" I was surprised. I mean volleyball is volleyball, you just have to keep the ball from touching the floor. It's actually one of my favorite sports and I happen to be pretty good at it. I'm excited to see the guys' faces once I kick their butts in volleyball.
"I'm serious. Literally it's just Anna and I who try to actually hit the ball. Our efforts only go to waste in the end since the girls provide no teamwork at all. It's completely embarrassing to the guys since we're living up to the "girls suck at sports" scenario, which is not true." Brielle explained.
"Well, I happen to be pretty good at volleyball." I chuckled. I was actually one of the best players in my team back in Cali, but I didn't wanna tell them. It might come off as me gloating, and I did not want that.
Two girls brushed past me, rudely might I add. What is it with people bumping into me at this school?
"Hey you're Carrie, right?" McKenzie asked me. She had the most annoying voice ever.
"No, it's actually Casey," I forced a smile.
"Oh, well 'Casey' I just wanted to say hi and introduce my friend and I properly since you're new here. It'd be totally rude if we didn't. I'm McKenzie, and this is my girl Kim." She said pointing to the girl stading beside her with her perfectly long manicured nails.
I held out my hand for each of them to shake, but only for them to reject it. Oh alright.
"Well, I'm just gonna get to the point. Get away from Sam ok? He's mine. No one needs a slut stealing their boyfriend, walking the halls of this school."
I'm trying so hard to contain myself right now. What the heck is her problem?
"Okay first of all I don't even know Sam so you need to calm down. We've literally only spoke a minimal of two sentences to each other. Second, you're in no position to tell me who I can and cannot talk to. It's also really funny that you called me a slut since your shorts are up to your ass. You better check yourself before calling people out." I finished with the most fakest smile I could construct.
"OUU Do you need some ice for that burn?!" Anna exclaimed while uncontrollably laughing and Brielle joining with her. I felt bad for speaking the way I did to her, but Mckenzie was asking for it. I'm actually really nice, but I'm not naive to let people take advantage of me.
"Just fuck off." Mckenzie said while rolling her eyes.
I grinned. "Gladly."
I left McKenzie and her little sidekick and walked off to another area of the gym with Brielle and Anna.
