Minho taught me all the things i needed to know to be a runner.
"Wow,I must say I'm impressed.Training's gone pretty good so far,you might even hit the maze faster than expected"Minho told me.
I grinned,proud of myself.Minho was pretty hard to impress!
"Thanks,shank.Now aren't you supposed to be in the maze?" "Nope,I had a day off.But I was at the doors to send off the runners" "Woah,since when did you do that?"I joked.He just glared at me and continued teaching me whatever was necessary.
-TimeSkip-
Minho and I were finally running through the maze,and he was teaching me how to cut the vines and such.
"Um,hey,not to sound nosy or anything but did you actually cheat on Thomas with Newt?" Minho questioned as I tried to cut a vine.Key word ; tried.I ended up cutting my arm,startled by Minho's question.
"Oh my shuck,y/n are you okay?" "I-I'm fine"I winced as i held on to my wrist.
Minho ended up bringing me to the Med-hut(let's call it that for now)and now I was sitting on the mattress in one of the rooms,with Minho beside me.
"How're ya?"I looked at him and half-smiled."Could've been better"He sighed.
"I-I'm sorry for asking that question.It was really dumb of me" "N-no!It's fine.I was just...Startled,is all.And if you really want to know...No,I didn't cheat on Thomas.I was in our special place,thinking about our relationship.When Newt came and asked me if I was alright,but I pushed him away.I-I lost a friend that night.And the next day,I lost the love of my life too"I explained,tears trickling down my face.Ii noticed and wiped them away and cleared my throat."Uh,that was the past.I-I think I'll be okay" "y/n,you dont seem okay.I'm always here to talk,alright?" "Um,okay"
Minho told me he needed to take care of some business so he left,leaving me all alone,so I decided it would be best if I slept.

I awoke to the feeling of someone stroking my hair.I opened my eyes and saw Minho staring at me.
"What?"I asked,confused.
"Nothing,nothing"
"Okay,weirdo"
"Um,Jeff said that you'll be healed in the next week or so.How're you holding up?"
"I'm fine,what time is it by the way?"
"It's uh,5pm"
My eyes widened.Brenda should be back any minute now!
"Uh,I gotta go.Brenda's probably waiting for me" "Okay,be safe"
I dashed to the maze doors,but not before hearing soft murmurs of people saying "She's already with Minho?" "How could she move on that fast" "What a slut" Those words hurt me but I was used to it.
I saw Brenda at the maze doors.
"Brenda!!"I called out.She saw me and ran to me.
"Finally.What were you doing and where were you?"
"I was at the Med-hut.Um,Minho was teaching me the basics of being a runner,y'know,cutting vines and such.Well,I cut my arm too"I replied.
"Oh my goodness,are you alright?"
"I'm fine,could be better though"I joked.
"Hm,okay.And–wait,did you say he was teaching you the basics of being a runner?" "Oh,yeah.Um,I'm gonna be a runner.Surprise?"I told her.She squealed."y/n,that means we could be partners!!"I smiled wide.
Until I saw Thomas with Teresa,my smile dropped.Brenda must've noticed,because she gave me a pat on the back."Don't worry,he'll come 'round" I forced a smile."yeah"
-After Dinner-
I knocked at his door,hoping he will answer.
The door slowly opened,when I saw his face.He looked pretty upset."What do you want?"I sighed,missing his accent.
"Um,hi,Newt.I-I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about what happened the other night.I-I've just been going through a lot lately and,I dont know.I guess I kind of just snapped" "He gave me a small smile and then hugged mee."It's alright,I know how hard it can be when going through a breakup.I mean,I don't really know but I know it hurts a lot" I sighed. "Well,yeah.Anyways,I miss Thomas.And,since you're quite close with him,could you help me?Please?" "Sure"
-Next Morning-
I went to Newtand saw that he had a flower picked out to give to Thomas.I smiled,took it and quickly ran to the doors before he went in.
I saw him and tried to run faster,even though my legs were burning.
"Thomas!"I called out.Wow,I really need to stop doing that.
Once he saw me,he rolled his eyes and almost ran into the maze,but thankfully Brenda stopped him.
I ran as fast as I could until I reached him.I felt like I was about to pass out.
"Thomas...I...Here"I panted as I gave him the flower.
"What's this?"
"I-I'm...So-orry"I panted again.
It took me about a minute or two to regain my breath.
"I'm sorry.I know this whole giving the flower thingy is the other way round,but it's the least I could do right now.Look,I'm sorry for accusing you of cheating on me.I know you better than that,or at least I hope I do.I-I wasn't cheating on you.I know it may have seen like it,but it really wasn't.I was there,at our special place,thinking.But Newt found me there,he checked up on me.I pushed him away,and I lost him that day.And the next night,I lost you,too.I-I just miss you so much,I miss being able to cuddle up to you when we sleep,I miss seeing you after your long day in the maze.I miss it all.It's okay if you don't miss me too,if you're with Teresa,but I just wanted to let you know that I love and miss you,so so much.Um,here"I finished my rant as I gave him the flower.I started to walk away when he called out my name.
"y/n,wait.I-I miss you too,and I haven't stopped loving you.I don't love Teresa at all,well,not in a romantic way at least.She's like a sister to me.Please take me back?I know I sound desperate but please?I've missed you a lot"I smiled,probably wider than I ever have before.
"Of course,I love you so much"
