Later. . .
Adam's POV:
School had ended. I had texted my Mom I would be home later because I was going to see Tommy. Today wasn't too nice because Tommy wasn't here and it was sad. After walking and walking and walking...you get the idea, I finally made it to Tommy's house. I rang the doorbell and waited for the door to open. After a few seconds I rang the doorbell again. This time the doorknob jiggle and the door opened.
"Hello Mrs Ratliff." I said.
"Hello Adam." She said. "Visiting Tommy?"
"Yeah." I said. "Can I go see him?"
"Sure, come in." She said.
"Thanks." I replied and entered the house.
"Tommy is in his room." Said Mrs Ratliff. "I think he's watching television."
"Okay, thanks." I said and went upstairs. I found Tommy's closed bedroom door and knocked on the door.
"Come in." Said Tommy's voice. I entered his room and he gasped when he saw me at the door. "ADAM!" I giggled as I closed the door behind me and dropped down my bookbag. I went to him and hugged him. His arms wrapped around me and I smiled.
"Hey baby." I said and kissed him. Tommy kissed me back passionately. "How are you feeling?"
"I guess in between." He replied with a shrug after we pulled back. I nodded and he turned off the television. "How was school?"
"Okay, but I missed you so much." I said and kissed his cheek. "Oh, and Billie is dating a guy."
"Really?" Said Tommy.
"Mhm." I said. "Maybe Billie can introduce us to him." Tommy smiled and I looked down at his body. My eyes landed on his wrists. He had bandages.
"Tommy?" I started. "Why are your arms bandaged?" Tommy put his arms behind him and I looked at him. He looked away from me. "Baby?" Tears slowly slipped down his cheeks.
"I'm sorry." He said. "I-I didn't mean to do it."
"Babe, you cut?" I asked and Tommy nodded. I hugged him and Tommy clutched my shirt.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He kept repeating.
"Shh, its okay." I whispered. "Let me see the cuts, okay?"
"Mhm." He hummed and slowly I took off the bandages. He had large cuts in both of his wrists. My fingertips slowly ran over the tips and then I put back the bandages on him.
"So what has happened while I was at school?" I asked.
"I'm scared." Tommy whispered. "I-I had a fever. My headaches get worse everyday and this morning I threw up...blood." My eyes widened.
"Has Kellie come to check you?" I asked.
"She'll come later." He said and I nodded. I lie in the bed with Tommy snuggling up to me. Suddenly Tommy pushed me away and got off the bed.
"Tommy?" I asked as he ran into the bathroom. I stood up and went inside. I gasped. He was throwing up as he sobbed, but he was throwing up blood. "Oh God." I went to his side and rubbed his back.
"Adam, please..." Tommy begged. "Make...the pain...s-stop!"
"I'm going to tell your Mom to call Kellie." I said as I stood up.
"No, please Adam." Said Tommy. "Don't leave me." I looked down at Tommy who was looking at me with pleading eyes.
"Tommy?" Said Mrs Ratliff's voice. I helped Tommy stand up and wash his mouth. After that, his Mom came into the room and I picked Tommy up in my arms bridal style. Tommy snuggled up closer to my chest and closed his eyes as his body slightly shook. Mrs Ratliff touched Tommy's forehead. "Honey you have a fever." Tommy coughed.
"Want to lie down on your bed?" I asked and Tommy nodded. "Okay." Mrs Ratliff flushed the toilet and I brought Tommy to his bed. I was surprised he still had pajamas on.
"I'm going to make you some tea, okay?" Said his Mom and Tommy nodded. "Kellie said she'll be here in ten."
"Okay." We both said and laughed. Dia laughed and left. I went to my bookbag and pulled out my notebook. I looked at Tommy. He was scared. You can tell by the look on his face he was scared. I grabbed a pencil and went over to him. Tommy smiled at me.
"Hey baby." I said as I lie in bed next to him.
"Hi and what's that for?" He asked.
"Its for music class." I said. "You and I are partners and we have to work on a song. I got some of the lyrics."
"Maybe I can help." Said Tommy and we started working on the lyrics.
