Before Cable could reach the house to see Aidan, Mark steps in front of him and speaks to him. "Cable, glad to see you up and about." Mark pats his shoulder, but he backs up a bit from the patting. "Heh, well anyways, I have some work for you to do. Since you will be living here, you need to start off by working on something." Mark ponders on what he would like Cable to do, but he finds an idea. "Why don't you help with lumber work? Chop some wood and put it in a pile? That could be a good job to start on." Cable looks at Mark, then back at Aidan's house, tempted to just walk over there. But he stays and listens to Mark, because he knows he's not going to last long in this town if he refuses his requests.
"Sure, I guess I could do that." Cable responds while wearing a fake smile to cover his annoyance. Mark nods his head and walks back to the town hall while Cable walks over to the lumber yard where a female horse, male gorilla, and a male tiger are already working on chopping the wood. As Cable enters, he is greeted with kindness and "hello's". He begins working for a few hours, but on their lunch break, Cable slips away and head toward Aidan's house. He knocks on his door a few times, but no answer. He knocks once more, still no answer. And before Cable would slam his fists against the door, Aidan opens up with an annoying looks on his face.
"What do you want Cable? I'm trying to relax here." Aidan says in anger.
"Well, I was wondering if I could come in." He steps inside while walking passed Aidan.
"I didn't say you could come in." He closes the door.
"But you didn't say that I couldn't come in."
"Look, I'm trying to relax from a hard day, just sit somewhere while I get some sleep."
"What's wrong with you? Why are you being such a prick to me all of a sudden? I didn't do jack shit to you."
"I-I know that, it's just something that I didn't like, that's all."
"What is it then?"
"Don't worry about it."
Cable gets a little upset as he grabs Aidan and pushes him lightly, but firmly against the nearest wall. "Tell me now, Why the hell are you getting so pissed at me?!"
"I'm not telling you, now get off!" Aidan tries to push Cable back, but Cable stands his ground and won't move.
"Tell me or I'll..." Cable stops in his tracks as he looks at Aidan's small body, his gaze now fixed on every move. Aidan looks up at cable as he tries pushing him away, but he stops pushing and gives in as he sees his now calm face. The two stand still as they lock eyes. their hearts racing, Aidan's face now turning red from the sight of Cable's fit body. He now feels his strong, muscular chest with his hands, while Cable leans in closer. Aidan closes his eyes as he leans closer to Cable's face as well. And before Cable's lips locks in with Aidan's, there is a loud knock on the door. With that knock, the two are released from each other's spell and Cable backs away and looks at the door.
With Aidan not moving from the sheer moment that just occurred, Cable walks over to the door and answers. "What the hell do you want?" There is Connor is at the door with a panicked expression on his face. "We got trouble, there's an entire horde of Z's coming and we need to get in battle positions!" The two look at Connor with worrisome looks on their faces as they rush to get their gear to prepare for a zombie horde battle.
