I woke up slowly, fully aware of what happened to me. I was drugged by crazy men and they kidnapped me. If I keep my breathing under control, they'll think I'm still asleep and they'll leave me alone. I took in my surroundings through feel and sound alone.

From what I could feel, my arms were chained behind me. I inched my hands back and touched a cool, metal bar. Cage... I'm chained up in a cage. How cruel and inhumane. I took a link in my fingers and felt for it's thickness.

These are heavy duty chains, the type you use to chain up huge dogs. The cuffs on my wrists were tight, but not too tight to where they cut off circulation. Well, at least they're somewhat considerate. Okay, so I'm in a cage, chained up with thick links and tight cuffs. I don't know where I am, but once that's figured out, escape is a possibility. It's not very high, but a chance is a chance.

Now to listen. I let my ears catch any sound they could pick up. The vents were on, but the point where it blew out the air was away from me, so I must be in a fairly large room. I couldn't hear any traffic or voices, so I must be alone and there are no windows. I'm guessing the walls are sound proof as well.

A heavy door opened far off to my left. I must be in the middle of the room. The sound of the door reached my ears and I slightly caught it from another direction, off to my right.

"Is she awake yet?" A man's voice whispered.

"Doesn't sound like it." Another replied. "Then again, she could be faking it." I kept my heart rate under control and slow as they walked toward me, their thudding feet bouncing off the walls.

"Are the chains still tight?" The first man asked.

"Let me check." I jumped slightly when the sound of rubber gloves snapped really close to my right. Before I could do anything, the chains were suddenly yanked back and my head slammed into one of the bars. I grunted from the impact then groaned softly. My head began pounding at the epicenter of the pain.

"Well, she's awake now." The second voice chuckled. "Hey! Wakie Wakie! We know you're awake!" I sat up from my half sitting position and opened my eyes.

"A-are the lights off?" I asked in a quiet voice.

The two men burst into a fit of laughter. "Ain't you a cutie!" One teased as he stroked my cheek. I jerked away from him and gasped at the sudden pain in my side. "I honestly thought that you'da figured it out now! James, adjust her eye straps."

"Eye straps?" I questioned. "What eye- AH!" Something was tugged against my head, pulling a metal object closer to my face. "O-ow..." The one I guessed was James patted a hand on my head and stood.

"He'll come." James said. "I know he will. Soon, we will have your Luna."

"What?!" I shifted my position so I was halfway facing the general direction of James. "Since when did I have a moon?!" More laughter. "I honestly don't know what you're talking about! What do you mean by 'mate'? Who will come?! Let me go!" I thrashed around in the cage trying to loosen the chains.

"Let me go!" I shouted again. "I don't know what your deal is! Let me- AH! What the hell was that?! No! Stop it! Why are you shocking me?! Stop!!" After a few more seconds, I fell away from whatever they were using to shock me with and burst into tears. "Let me go..." I sobbed. "What did I ever do to you?"

"It didn't work..." James muttered. "Damn thing must be broken." I jumped when the object made contact with skin, but was thankful it wasn't mine.

There was a strangled gasp and gurgle as a body fell to the floor. "Nope. Still works. Then why...?" He sighed. "C'mon, Carl. Quit laying around and let's go."
