Reece
This table is way too comfortable. It's soft and warm. I sighed dreamily and stretched out a bit, loving the comfy table. When did they change the tables? Slowly, I opened my eyes and found myself staring at a nice chest. Well, that's a sight to wake up to while laying on a table. Did I accidentally slip something in my drink? I bet that's what happened.
I went to move to get up, but found myself trapped. Great... I'm being held captive. I sighed and began to wiggle around to try and get free. The vice around me tightened. I turned my face away from the chest so I could breathe. Wow, this person has a strong grip.
Wait a minute.... I'm not in the kitchen, and those sparks are all too familiar. When did I get moved to our bedroom?
Carefully, I turned over and stared out the bright window. Hang on... I reached as far as I could and grasped my phone and clicked it on. My eyes went as big as saucers and I leaped off the bed and out of his arms, making him jolt awake.
"What the hell?!" Asher sat up and launched himself at me and pulled me back. "What happened?! You won't touch her!"
"Um, Asher?" I wiggled away from him. "Who're you talking to?" He blinked at me then glanced around the room.
"There's... no one here?"
I shook my head. "It's just us, and we're three hours late for school."
Recognition flashed across his face as he slowly pulled me back into his arms. "Reece, we're not going to school today. I found you passed out at the kitchen table. Would you mind telling me what happened?"
I pushed the dream from my mind, not wanting to experience it again. "I don't want to talk about it... But why did you react like that?"
He held me closer to him. "I had a wild dream. We were out walking when a group of Rogues suddenly ambushed us and stole you away. As they were kidnapping you, that was about the same time you yanked yourself from my arms."
"Oh..." I brought my arms lightly around him. "I'm sorry... But I'm here, see? No need to worry." I tipped my head back and looked into his eyes. They were full of love and compassion.
"I know," He brought his head down so our noses were touching. "And that's exactly how I want it to be. I never want you to leave my side; forcefully, or willingly."
"Until you have to leave for another pack meeting." I pointed out.
"Speaking of which," Asher pulled back a bit and sat us down on the bed. "I want to tell you some good news."
"Yes?" I prompted.
"At this last meeting, my brother, Tyson, gave up his position of Beta and gave it to me." He explained. "That was only a small segment of what happened at the meeting. I'm not allowed to really tell you the rest. It's against protocol."
"I understand," I snuggled close to him. "But, I kinda liked being on my own. It made me realize how great it felt to be free."
"Reece..."
"What?" I looked up at him. "You're always in my hip pocket. I needed a break to be alone for a while and not have someone attached to me twenty-four seven."
He frowned. "I'm not with you twenty-four seven."
I rolled my eyes. "Fine, then. Twenty-three seven."
"That doesn't even make sense." He countered with.
"Whatever." I wrapped my arms tightly around him and rested my ear against his heart. The rhythmic thumping was calming and smoothing. I felt relaxed and even more calm with the sparks and the beating of his heart.

Werewolf"Asshole! How many times do I have to tell you?! I am not going to fall for the cliché bad boy just because you supposedly love me! I don't want to be with you!" I shouted at Asher, my anger boiling over. "But, Reece..." He said my name as if he was...
