Oh God... Help, help, help!! I went to scream, but Daniel scowled and clamped a hand over my mouth. "Scream and you die." Only then did I feel the cool metal on the side of my neck just under my jaw bone. Knife. He has a knife. Anything I do now can either keep me alive, or kill me in an instant.

I tried to keep my hysterical breathing under control so the knife wouldn't press farther into my skin.

"Reece, why so scared?" Daniel chuckled. "I won't do anything; yet. Now, be a good girl and scoot down to the edge of the bench, stand, and come with me. We have some unfinished business to attend to."

Tears spilled out the corners of my eyes and down the side of my head. I know what he wants. I carefully shook my head, trying to stall until Asher gets back. He should be here by now; I'm scared for my life! How is that not registering in his mind?! Does it only work if we're close to each other?!

I gasped as the knife bit deeper into my skin. It was about to break through. "No? Did you just tell me no? Reece, no one tells me no. When did you get so fucking brassy and grow a spine? You always were willing to throw yourself down at my feet for anything. What happened to that cute Reece? And your piercings; they're missing." He made a smirk that would put the Joker to shame. "I can fix that for you."

Okay, I need to find a way to escape. Stalling obviously isn't working. I have a plan, but it involves getting closer to the blade. I think I can pull it off.

Time to set it in motion. "Reece, scoot to the end of the bench, and come with me." In response, I bit his fingers hard. He jerked his hand and swore rather loudly. I twisted away from him. His fingers reached for my hair, but because it was shorter and lighter, they glided through and I was able to topple off the bench.

I scrambled onto my feet and ran to Rorie, Shelbie, and Jayden, yelling for them.

"Reece, God damn it!" I glanced over my shoulder to see him leap over the bench. I faced forward and leaped behind Rorie, pulling Shelbie with me and having the guys block us. They seemed confused at first, but one look at a fuming Daniel set them straight.

Jayden growled at the back of his throat and stood defensively in front of us, Rorie taking a similar stance. "What the hell do you want?" Jayden demanded.

Daniel stopped his advance about ten paces back. "And you are?" He directed to Jayden and glared icily at Rorie. Rorie didn't even flinch.

"That's none of your concern." Jayden stated, acid dripping from his voice. "Answer my question."

"Why, I'm here for my girlfriend, Reece." Daniel said, as if it was obvious. "She seems to be hiding from me. Come here, Reece." He saw me poking my head around Rorie. He curled a finger at me, beckoning me to him. I quickly ducked back. "Aw, Reece. Don't play that way."

"Take a step and I won't hesitate to hurt you." Rorie threatened.

Daniel snorted. "Like you could really do anything, fag." I cringed and took Shelbie's hand. She tugged at my hand and pointed. I followed her finger. Asher just darted around the corner, frantically looking around.

I wasn't thinking. I let go of Shelbie's hand and took off toward running.

"Reece!" She cried. "No! Come back!" Shelbie screamed, but I didn't look back.
