A\n:This is one of my best chapters, hope you enjoy like I do! :P
"Anthony?" I asked in a strangled whisper.
I couldn't hold the bile which instantly rose up my guts and I emptied the contents of my stomach on the floor.
"Would you like me to hold your hair, princess?" his voice was cynical and unrecognizably distant.
I stared horrified at the body in the middle of the door with moist in my eyes. The man speaking to me stepped into the light. His appearance shocked the shit out of me. It wasn't Anthony but he had the same eyes, the same features as him, the same everything except for the dark look in his eyes. He started to circle me. Never staying in the same place, he snarled violently, something the real Anthony would never do. I tried to force myself away from my nausea and the throbbing in my ears to focus on him.
This man is here for me, it is a certitude.
What are you going to do, now?
"You recovered, already!" he analysed, behind me. I was standing in the middle of the huge corridor; an easy target for him.
"You're not as weak as I thought, after all. A young child like you would have succumbed to terror by now." he whispered, his voice resonating across the walls.
I took in a breath. "I'm not afraid of you." I said, earning an amused laugh.
"Really?" he chuckled and I lowered my lashes almost closing my eyes.
"Yes." I said firmly, whirling but he Vanished again.
"You are afraid." I said as I looked around searching, cautiously for a glimpse of his shadow.
"Oh, you're wrong, I don't puke when I see a corpse." he growled jumping for me.
He was in front of me in nanoseconds. I leaned back, escaping his glacial hand which was aiming for my throat. He smirked and I felt, too late his nails tear into my abdomen. He reached my intestines and squeezed. I felt blood rush into my skull, veins swelling on my forehead. I screamed in agony as tears streamed down my face and I felt dizzy. He smirked at my pathetic attempt to escape and shook his head disapprovingly.
"Now, aren't you afraid of me?" he demanded, his hiss close to my ear.
"Ah," I groaned.
He shook his head. "Don't confuse bravery with stupidity, little one." he said, extracting his hand. I bit into my lower lip to suppress the scream in my throat as cold air entered my entrails. My nostrils flared and I fairly closed my eyes.
I stumbled backwards, my wound instantly healing to a stage I could handle standing on my two heavy legs.
He, in that instant, breathed in the scent of my fresh blood, which caused his eyes to become darker and wilder while he stared at me in complete excitement.
"You are such a luscious creature it's almost ... invading." he said leaking the tips of his fingers.
"What do you want from me?" I demanded, breathlessly and disgusted as he pulled out a white tissue to clean his hand.
"Nothing in particular, I just wanted to see how strong you are. Excuse my excessive curiosity, though, I didn't mean to be rude, princess." he said.
