The people at my school piss me off, The Breakfast Club has just been added to the Uk netflix and now people who I'm supposedly friends with are watching it and texting me references like I care? I mean I do and stuff I love tbc but I hate that they're acting like we have so much in common now that they love the 80s as much as I do bc they watched one John Huges film. Do I sound petty and annoying or does anyone feel me?

100% agree with this, I have the same problem like someone in my year watched one movie from the 80s and they put it all over social media and think they're relatable bc its a mainstream movie which everyone has seen. Like I know its a great movie but you don't need to put it everywhere on the internet.
Also I'd get so annoyed if someone texted me references like leave me alone, but I think thats only bc im a moody teen, who legit likes no one except from my small friend group and intetnet friends lmao.
Had anyone else had a similar experience?
