Chapter 1: In the Begging

Hi, I'm Katie I'm about to tell you how the apocalypse started. It all started when I was going to school. My friend Jazmin and I were just driving to school in my mom's car and then that's when it happened. We saw a guy walking across the street we thought he was homeless.
When we tried to ask him if he need a ride somewhere he attacked us. The man bite Jazmin's neck Jazmin's screams were heard from miles away attracting more of these creatures. While Jazmin's neck was bleeding I grabbed the gun from under my seat that my mom had stashed there and while my mom screamed "KILL IT, KILL IT" I shot the creature. The creature didn't die I kept shooting it but then I ran out of bullets. After I ran out of bullets I shove the gun as far as I could in his eye and he died.
After I stabbed him in the eye I pulled my gun out and looked at Jazmin as she started to cry she said "I don't want to die I'm so scared"
I started to cry I didn't want to lose my best friend, because besides my mom she was the only one I trusted.
