subin was playing go fish with mark in the main room. actually, it was go fish for her, but 'shake your head if you don't have anything' for mark. he would hold up the card that he needed instead of verbally asking for it too.

"got any three's?" subin asked before mark handed her one.

everyone else was minding their own business, too. youngjae was reading a book, yugyeom was watching the news, bambam was reading a magazine, jinyoung put all of the books on the shelf in alphabetic order, jackson was making millions of paper airplanes.

mark held up an ace and and subin smirked, "go fish!" the boy let out a huff as he picked up the card on top of the deck before he let out a little giggle, and paired up his ace with the one he just picked up.

"damn it, mark. did you rig this game or something?" subin asked as mark laughed.

"subin," bambam called. "do you think jaebum is okay? he's been gone for a while."

subin watched as jackson finished off the last of the paper for his airplanes and went to play with some blocks. "i'm sure if he loses his temper, the security guards will be able to control him," she said before she turned back to face mark, adding under her breath, "i hope."

mark tried to give her a reassuring smile, but it didn't help.

"do you have any-"

"son of a bitch!" a loud voice boomed as it kicked the door open. everyone in the room jumped except for jackson who, for some reason, didn't get distracted.

as soon as subin realized the loud, angry man was jaebum, she jumped out of her seat and rushed to him.

"what's wrong, jaebum?" subin calmly asked, stepping in front of him so that he could only look at her. meanwhile, mark and jinyoung were gathering everybody away from the two. they tried to get jackson's attention, but he was too distracted with his blocks.

"the doctors want me to stay here for at least a year! are you fucking kidding me? a year?" he yelled.

"it could be worse, you kn-"

"i was expecting to come here, get some tests done, get some medication, and leave and get on with my life. i don't want to live here for a year!"

"jaebum, this is a rehabilitation center. you couldn't honestly have expected to leave after a week," subin tried to stay calm. she couldn't help the bitterness that left her lips as jaebum complained about being there for a year. she's been there for ten.

jaebum didn't know what to do with his rage, so he took it out on the nearest inanimate thing, which happened to be jackson's block tower. he kicked it with all his might, sending all the blocks flying every which way. jackson, surprised and confused, started crying.

subin squatted down and held the crying man in her arms. at times like this, he seemed like a child more than a grown man. he was a sensitive person, though. she couldn't blame him for what he couldn't help.

just then, two security guard came in. they looked from the raging jaebum to subin consoling jackson.

"what happened here, miss park?" one of them asked.

subin looked at jaebum with concern in her eyes and he faltered. everything he did was starting to settle in.

"jaebum here is just a little angry." as subin spoke, her concern in her eyes turned to anger. "i think he needs to cool off in his room for the rest of the day."

jaebum didn't even fight back as the two huge security men dragged him to his shared room.
