As soon as they arrived in Lionheart's office, he noticed them and tried to call for help, which wasn't part of the deal.
Emerald darted behind him, pinning his arms to his sides as Mercury held his foot to the professor's throat.
Her partner smirked. "Now, now. We wouldn't want to upset the authorities by calling for unneeded help, would we?"
Lionheart nodded, and Emerald released him, lowering Mercury's foot with her hand as she crossed in front of the professor again.
"We aren't here to hurt you, Headmaster. We're only here to see the academy."
That much was true. They were here to see it and destroy it from the inside, and during that they would get to see it plenty.
Mercury stepped in, and a smile tugged at the corners of Emerald's mouth. "Actually, before we do that, we do have one small favor to ask you."
"We hope it's not too much trouble, but we heard that Team JNPR and Ruby Rose are here in Mistral. Is that correct?"
She tilted her head, almost daring him to disagree with her expression. Lionheart nodded, fear taking over his face. "Y...yes, that's correct."
Emerald laughed. "Wonderful! I would enjoy seeing them again, if you could call them here, that would be great."
Mercury ran his foot across the floor, scraping it against the floor tiles menacingly. "You will call them here, right? I'm sure they'd willingly come visit if it was you behind the call."
Lionheart nodded. "P...please don't fight them in my office."
Emerald's eyes widened mockingly. "Of course not! We wouldn't dream of destroying this precious little setup."
Mercury nodded, sitting down in the closest chair and polishing his boot. "Oh, but we will need to bring down the tower on top of it, if that's possible."
Emerald focused her energy on the professor, who nodded again, almost mechanically. "O...of course. If that is Lady Salem's plan."
She sighed with relief. He's easier than I thought. "Oh, that's good. Now, about that call?"
Lionheart froze for a moment, then went to his desk and opened the scroll interface. As he swiped through contacts, Emerald studied them as well, taking note of every number.
When he found Jaune's number, Emerald had memorized all of his contacts, including the headmaster of Shade and the general, whose number was highly classified.
Ruby answered instead of Jaune, which was a relief to Emerald. "Professor Lionheart! Hi!"
Emerald concentrated on the headmaster again, who straightened as if he'd been stabbed. "Hello, Ruby Rose. I heard that you and your team have arrived in Mistral safely? That's good."
"Yep!" The Huntress paused. "Did you need something from me?"
"Yes, actually." Lionheart stopped, and Emerald's control slipped for a moment as she thought of what to say.
"I was wondering if you could come to Haven for a day. I would like you to be on the front lines if another attack is imminent, and for you to do that, you would need to know the layout of the campus."
Ruby thought for a moment, then responded. "Sure! I'll tell the rest of my team, and we'll be there soon."
"Wonderful, thank you, Miss Rose."
"Any time!" Ruby ended the call and Emerald let the headmaster go. That was so much harder than I thought. Lionheart's mind is heavily guarded and I had to search for things he would say.
