Mystery - Prince Ben LS (Disney Descendants)

Chapter 1: Proclamation

Third Person View POV                     

Ben stood staring out the window at the Isle of the lost while being measured by his tailor. Thinking about what he was about to do and how his parents were going to take it. 

"How is it possible that you are going to be crowned king, next month, you're just a baby." Ben's dad King Beast said walking into the room with Queen Belle.

"Hey pops." Ben greets his dad but his father isn't paying attention.

"He's turning 18 dear." Belle tells Adam.

"Eighteen. That's far too young to be crowned king, I didn't make a good decision until I was at least forty-two." King Beast says.

"But you decided to marry me at twenty-eight." Belle tells her husband appalled. 

"Well it was either you or the teapot." Adam jokes winking at Ben. While Ben tries to hold in his laughter. While Belle just stands there with an not very happy look on her face. "Kidding." Adam tells her.

Ben takes a deep breath in to try and prepare him for what he is about to do. "Mom, Dad. I have officially chosen my first official proclamation." Ben tells his parents. King Beast and Belle stand there with proud looks on their faces. "I've decided that the children on the Isle of the lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon." Ben's parents stand there with horrified looks on their faces. "Everytime I look out to the Isle I feel like they have been abandoned." Be finishes.

"The children of our sworn enemies, living among us." King Adam says in a disbelieving and angry tone. While Ben nods his head.

"We start out with a few at first, only the ones who truly need our help. I've already chosen them." Ben tells his parents.

"Have you!" Adam raises his voice. While Belle just stands there in shock.

"I gave you a second chance." Belle finally speaks up while looking up at her husband who thinks for a minute then reluctantly nods his head. "Who are their parents?" Belle acks her son.

"Cruella De Vil, Jafar, The Evil Queen, Scar and Maleficent." Ben answers slowly scared of the reaction he will get out of his parents from the last two names. When the last two names were spoken Belle drops the jacket that she was holding, while the tailor and the staff gasp and quickly leave the room.

"Scar and Maleficent! They're the worst villains in the land!" Adam yells at his son as Belle keeps quiet.

"Dad just here me out." Ben pleads to his father.

"I won't hear of it! They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!" Adam continues to yell.

"Dad, their children are innocent. Don't you think they deserve a second chance at a normal life like you did when mom fell in love with you and turned you human?" Ben asks his father.

"I suppose their children are innocent." Adam says after he's calmed down from beast mode.

Belle walks up to her son. "Well done," She says straightening his jacket "shall we?" She asks her husband after walking back to him. Adam nods and walks out of the room with his arm hooks with Belles. When they leave Ben looks back out the window to the Isle of the lost and hopes that he made the right decision.
