Chapter 14: Coronation Part 2

Scarlett's POV

Recap: "Then it is my honour and my joy to bless our new king." I was about to go up there and grab the wand but someone beat me to it. Jane. 

"Child, what are you doing?!" FG asked Jane as I stood there and watched Jane struggle with the wand, when the wand started sparking magic Ben came over and stood in front of me protectively.

"If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself! Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" Jane shouts and the wand shouts out magic and I ran over to her and take the wand from here and stand there with everyone looking at me, and I can see from the corner of my eye Mal, Jay, Evie ad Carlos make there way down to me.

"Careful, Scarlett!" Belle shouts.

"Scarlett, give me the wand." Ben tells me carefully and start taking tiny steps towards me, holding out his hand.

"Stand back." I said and take a step back.

"It's ok." He tells be taking another step towards me.

"Ben, I said stand back!" I yell at him holding up the wand, causing him to step back.

"I told you so." Audrey shouts and I turned to her with the wand pointed right at her and she screams and backs up into Chad's chest.

"Let's go." Carlos says as he and the rest of the gang stand around me.

"Revenge time." Jay tells me.

"You really want to do this." Ben asks me looking a little heart broken realising that I have been playing him the whole time.

"We have no choice, Ben! Our parents-" I say but he interrupts me.

"Your parents made their choice. Now you make yours." He tells me and I look at everyone.

"I think I want to be good." I said.

"You are good." He says.

"How do you know that?" I ask a little desperately.

"Because... Because I'm listening to my heart." He tells me and I get that warm funny feeling in my stomach again.

"I want to listen to my heart, too. And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents." I say looking over at my friends and sister. "I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy." I say looking over at Jay and we all hear someone from the crowd shout "Yeah." Probably someone from the team. "And you, scratching dude's belly makes you happy. Who would've thought" I looking at Carlos. "Evie...You do not have to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart. And Mal being evil and taking over the world doesn't make you happy. Drawing and being with Jay makes you happy." I say and send Jay and Mal a teasing smirk. And Mal looks down with a small smile and a blush on her cheeks, while Jay rubs the back of his neck and avoids eye contact. "And I don't want to take over Auradon with evil. I want to go to school. And be with Ben. Because Ben makes me really happy." I say smiling over at Ben and hold up my hand that has Ben's ring on it. "Us being friends makes me really happy. Being sister make me really happy. Not destroying things. I choose good, you guys." I say and put my fist in the middle of us.

"I choose good too." Jay says and joins me and puts his fist next to mine and we look over at Carlos, Evie and Mal.

"I choose good." Evie says as she joins in.

"I choose good." Mal says and joins and we all look over at Carlos.

"So, just to be clear, we don't have to be worried about how really mad our parents will be. Because they're gonna be really, really mad." Carlos says and we all laugh.
