We stood on the balcony looking down at all the families watching Ben and some other students including Aubrey, Chad, Doug, and Lonnie singing, Be Our Guest ones of his parents songs. (Song Below)
We walked down and through the crowd and to the snack table. Jay and Carlos went straight to the chocolate and I immediately started stuffing my face with strawberries. Ever since my date with Ben I have not been able to stop eating them I mean there just so good. After I grab a couple more I look over and se Mal and Evie laughing at me.
"What?" I ask but it comes out a little muffled since i'm still eating the strawberries.
"You must really like those huh?" Mal says teasingly as I wipe the strawberry juice from my face.
"Oh my god, yes. These things are like the best things ever. You have to try one." I say as I eat another one. Mal and Evie look at each other and shrug and each pick up a strawberry and takes a bite.
"Mmm, you're right these things are good." Mal says as she grabs a couple more. Evie just nods and finishes the one she has but doesn't get anymore. When the song ends everyone starts cheering and clapping. I continued to talk to Mal and Evie until I hear my name being shouted.
"Scarlett!" I look over to the direction the voice came from and see Ben motioning for me to come over as he and his pictures get a picture taken together. When I get over their Ben wraps an ar around my waist. "Scarlett! I want to introduce you to my parents. Mom, Dad, this is Scarlett. From the Island. My girlfriend." Ben introduces me to his parents and they looked a little shocked and pale at the news.
"Hi." Ben's mom Belle squeaks out.
"Hi." I say and Ben's dad Adam waves at me a little hesitantly.
"I was thinking maybe she could join us for lunch." Ben tells his parents.
Oh.... of course. Any friends of Ben's" Adam says.
"Um, I actually came with my friends and my sister." I tell Belle and Adam pointing at Evie, Jay, Mal and Carlos as they wave over at us.
"Well, you should invite them. Because the more the merrier.!" Belle tells me but i can hear nervousness in her voice.
"Yeah, I'll go grab them." I tell them and turn around to go and get them but before I could Adam stops me.
"Uh, how about a game of croquet before lunch?" Adam asks looking at me.
"Huh?" I start because I have never heard of roquet. "Of course." I say trying to be polite.
