The challenge (Natsu x Lucy) [COMPLETED]

3rd person's P.O.V

    Light flooded Lucy's room, waking her up. She found her head on top of a finished piece of homework. She straightened her spine and caught a glimpse of pink hair at the end of her table. Confused, due to being half asleep, she reached across the table and ran her hand through the salmon coloured strands. They were soft and warm. 

"Thought it would be spiky..." Lucy said sleepily, a small smile growing on her face.

    Something groaned and Natsu's face emerged from the tabletop. Squinting, he frowned and wiped some drool from the corner of his face. He locked eyes with Lucy and his frown disappeared. It was replaced with a small smile.

"Does my hair feel nice?" He chuckled.

"It's softer than I thought." Lucy answered.

    Natsu froze, his cheeks getting a little red. Lucy didn't notice, she just continued to stroke his hair. Natsu lay his head on the table, closing his eyes. He fell asleep again with a small smile on his face.

"Why are you so late?" Levy asked when Lucy sat down at the table. 

"Slept in, did I miss anything?" Lucy asked, brushing off her book bag.

"No, but can I ask you something?" Levy looked to the door.

"Sure." Lucy nodded.

"Why did you," Levy looked at Natsu. "Arrive at the same time as him? He's usually late, but you don't seem like the kind of person to do that. Is there an affair going on that I don't know of?"

"No way, we just fell asleep studying last night." Lucy shook her head.

"Oh, well, for your sake, I hope his fangirls believe you and he doesn't make up some cliché fib." Levy raised her eyebrows at the pink-head.

"Cliché fib? Like what?" Lucy arched an eyebrow.

"You know, like; you two actually did sleep together." Levy answered.

"Actually?" Lucy frowned.

"You appear late at school, at the same time. Someone's first guess would be that you slept together." Levy answered nonchalantly.

"Oh." Lucy looked down at the table.

"Did anything happen though?" Levy prodded.

"We may have...kissed." Lucy muttered.

"Really?" Levy gasped.

"Yeah...he hurt his hands so I helped him out and he's actually really nice," Lucy smiled. "Just stubborn I guess."

"You two are really cute together." Levy fawned.

"We're not a couple yet." Lucy whispered.

"Yet." Levy grinned.

Lucy rolled her eyes and smiled. "So then how about you and Gajeel?" Lucy whispered.

"What?" Levy blushed.

"How are things between you two?" Lucy motioned with her hand to continue.

"Boring...if I had to explain it. All he does is call me shrimp." Levy pouted.

    Lucy had to cover her mouth to try to conceal her laughter. Levy punched her arm and her hand moved from her face. Lucy burst out into laughing.

"Miss Heartfi-" 

"Yes?" Lucy cut her teacher off.

"First you come in late, then you disrupt my class by laughing your head off and now you've cut me off, go into the hallway please." The teacher pointed to the door, face-palming.

"Yes ma'am," Lucy stood up. "I'm sorry for disrupting the class, please forgive me."

    Everyone gave her a confused glance, Natsu started laughing.

"Mister Dragneel, you may join her." The teacher frowned.

"Alright, fine with me," Natsu shrugged and grabbed Lucy's hand. "Let's go Luny!"

"It's Lucy!"

Lucy's P.O.V

    Natsu sat cross-legged on the floor and smiled a toothy grin up at me. I was so cute! I blushed and sat down next to me. He put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me into him.

"So. Are we together now?" He asked.

"Like, dating?" I looked up at him.

"Yeah." He nodded.

"Well...maybe we should actually go on a date." I giggled.

"Alright, today, 7, at...the park. Good?" Natsu asked.

"Sure." I smiled.

"Great!" He hugged me tighter.

3rd person's P.O.V

    After school, Lucy walked happily home, thinking about her first date with Natsu. A goofy grin plastered on her face and a gleam in her eyes. Once she got home, she raced up to her closet and opened the door. Inside were many pretty dresses. But...meeting at a park wasn't exactly a formal date. If she wore one of her special dresses, then it would be strange at the park and she might get it torn.

    Closing her closet, Lucy spun around to walk over to her dresser. She pulled out the top drawer and looked inside. 

    Eventually, she settled on a pair of jean shorts and a nice, thin wool sweater. She put her hair in a high ponytail and sat on her bed. It was only 5:45 so she had a lot of time to kill. She pulled out her novel in progress and started to write.

At the Dragneel residence...

    Natsu raced around the halls of his mansion. Happy trying to keep up. 

"I'm going on a date!!!!" He yelled and literally jumped onto a wall and shot off down the hall.

    He front-flipped and landed in a crouch.

"I'm all fired up now!" He exclaimed.

"Meow!" Happy tilted his head to the side.

"Wait...," Natsu frowned, standing up. "What am I going to wear?"

    The doorbell rang and Lucy stood up, brushing herself off. But then she struck a realization. Natsu said meet her at the park, not that he'd pick her up. So who could that be? Lucy opened the door a crack and arched an eyebrow.

"Who are y-" The stranger cut her off by slapping a hand on her face.

Hey. Guess what. This is hilarious. To me at least. K so I have this other fanfic, (it's ereri and it's sad af) and I finished it not too long ago, after finishing it, I started working on this one, right? So it turns out, this story has waaaaaaay more views then my ereri one. When I saw that, I just laughed my head off for some insane reason. Also sorry for the cliff hanger but I'll make it easier by hopefully updating tomorrow ;D.
