Lucy's P.O.V
Their hand smelt like sweat and dirt. I grimaced, wanting to bite their fingers but the chances of there being something other than dirt on their gloves was pretty high. Most of my thoughts were focused on the fact that I was getting kidnapped but I was also concerned on the fact that either I wouldn't show up for the date and Natsu would think I stood him up or I would arrive late and hurt his feelings. Hopefully I could make the second one reality by getting away from this person.
"Don't struggle please miss Lucy, your dad has specifically ordered us not to harm you." A disgusting voice cooed.
"Let me go!" I shouted into his hand but it came out all muffled so I doubt he understood me.
The last thing I wanted to do was go back and see my father again. I absolutely despised him. He was always so hostile and rude towards me and he hardly ever seemed to notice my existence. Why he wanted me home now was most likely not because he was lonely. He probably wanted me to marry some rich prissy boy.
But unfortunately for me, I wasn't exactly the strongest person physically so this guy, I'm assuming, was way stronger, making it close to impossible for me to do anything.
"Wait." I said quietly, stopping in my tracks.
"What?" He removed his hand.
"I was supposed to see someone tonight, will you at least let me go and cancel? I promise, I'll come right back and I won't resist, just let me say goodbye?" I pleaded.
"Fine, I'll give you 10 minutes." The man sighed and let me go.
I walked to the park, his shadow following not to far behind me. Natsu wasn't there yet which I found strange since it was already 7:15. I sat down on a bench and waited. A few seconds later, he showed up with a huge smile on his face. It broke my heart to think that my news would crush it in less than a second.
"Hey Lucy!" He chuckled, sitting down next to me.
"Hey Natsu." I said, not even trying to hide the fact that I was sad.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I need to go somewhere...right now." I answered.
"Okay, sure, where are you going?" He asked.
"No, you don't understand Natsu, I'm not coming back." I looked up at him.
"What? Why?" He demanded, standing up.
"My dad...he wants me to come home." I answered.
"Why?" He frowned.
"Probably to marry some rich guy to help my dad expand his stupid railway." I answered angrily.
"Wait...so...you're rich?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah. That's why I won't let the teacher say my whole last name. If anyone found out I'm the Lucy Heartfilia, some people might try to take advantage of that." I sighed.
"Lucy Heartfilia? That's your last name? Heartfilia? Woah, you're loaded." Natsu put a hand on his forehead.
"It's not a good thing. Why can't you take things seriously? This will probably be the last time we see each other." I stood up too, tears dwelling up in my eyes.
"I...know..." Natsu froze, watching the tears roll down my face.
"10 minutes is up miss Heartfilia." The ugly voice of that man warned from a distance.
"Okay...I'm coming," I started to walk towards the man and I looked back to Natsu. "Bye, Natsu."
