Gray's P.O.V
"Gray! Run!" My mother screamed, reaching out to me.
"Mom! No!" I cried.
My dad kissed the top of my head and smiled at me. I grabbed his hand and held it to my face. I can still remember how warm it was, leaving warm blood on my cheek.
"You have to go buddy." He whispered.
"Daddy..." I wimpered.
My mother screamed as Deliora killed her. My dad gave me a weak push and collapsed to the floor and he stopped breathing. I felt like I was going to collapse. My heart was pounding in my chest and my feet wouldn't budge.
Deliora finally finished off my mom and the terrible man turned to me, grinning like a psychopath. He was one after all. I looked into his crazy, desperate, empty eyes and stared. My tears still flowing out of my eyes.
"Now, you'll scream nicely won't you? Little boy..." Deliora stepped towards me, knife dripping my parent's blood onto the floor.
"No..." I choked out.
Suddenly I snapped out of it and ran. I threw open my front door and ran down the snow covered street.
"Help!" I screamed at the houses.
Lights turned on in the windows and curtains opened. I could see people jump in alarm and quickly pull out cellphones. Pretty soon I could hear police sirens.
"You were lucky this time. Brat." Deliora hissed and disappeared into the night.
Snow cascaded softly around me, fluttering like feathers to the cold, damp ground. Red and blue lights blinded me as small cars flooded the street. Women and men in pajamas and bathrobes came out onto their porch to see what all the commotion was about. I ran towards one of the officers and tugged on his sleeve.
"Ambulance! Please!" I cried.
"What's wrong kid? Are you okay?" The officer asked.
"My parents...in there." I shivered, pointing to my house.
"Alright send two transport beds and a paramedic in there! Officers back 'em up!" The officer shouted.
"Do you know who it was?" The officer asked, looking down at me.
"Deliora." I replied, gritting my teeth.

I walked slowly through the falling snow. I was in no hurry to get anywhere, since I didn't belong anywhere anymore. It was 2 days after my parents had started being hospitalized. Well, at least my dad was. My mother was declared dead at the scene. She had lost too much blood and Deliora had stabbed her in the neck. Just thinking about that monster makes me want to scream.
"Why are you alone?" I heard a feminine voice ask.
"Who's asking?" I looked up and locked eyes with a short haired lady who was accompanied by a white-haired boy about my age.
"I'm Ur and this is Lyon." She introduced.
"Oh. Well I'm Gray, Gray Fullbuster." I grinned for the first time in a while.
"So, Gray, where are your parents?" Ur asked.
"My dad's in the hospital and my mother's dead." I answered, my smile falling from my face.
"How did that happen? If you don't mind me asking." Ur asked.
"Deliora." I replied, gritting my teeth again.
"Oh, is he that mass murderer that the cops haven't caught yet?" Lyon asked, butting in.
"Yeah." I answered looking at him.
"Well, until your dad gets better, why don't you come live with us?" Ur smiled.
"You're asking me, to come live with complete strangers I just met today?" I questioned.
"I know, it sounds really weird when you think about it but I will take care of you, actually, Lyon isn't actually my son." She reasoned.
I could definitely believe that. Lyon had white hair, she had black hair, he had pretty big eyes but his irises were tiny, her eyes were big and beautiful, they didn't really look similar to me at all. I could probably pass as her actual son better than he could.
"Okay. But if you guys start being suspicious or weird then I'm leaving. How far do you live?" I asked.
"On the mountain over there." Ur answered, pointing to a mountain in the close distance.
"Oh." I frowned.
"What is it?" Lyon asked.
"Why do you live on a mountain?" I looked to him.
"We like the cold." Ur smirked.
"You guys are weird." I frowned.

Ur turned out to be a detective and she was teaching Lyon how to be one as well. I didn't have too much interest in the matter, but she made me learn anyways. About a week later my father died. I don't really know how.
Lyon caught me punching a pillow one night and he took it and threw it out the window. That made me laugh for some odd reason, I had no idea why he chucked it outside into the snow but the thought always made me grin.
One day, we received word that Deliora was somewhere in Brago. Overwhelmed by hatred for the man, I left, claiming revenge for my parents' deaths. Ur and Lyon tried to stop me, they said I wasn't strong enough.
I guess I really wasn't, because at the end of that night, Deliora was in a coma and Ur was nowhere to be found.
Your welcome for the late update. :D
