Alice's POV:
Another Wednesday at school.
I sat at the back of the humid class room. My bestfriends sat near me. Joseph sat right in front of me and Karina to my right.
4th period has begun.
The tiny asain man began to speak dull, monotone words. His left hand rested on his gut, and the other waved and shook along with his words. I let out a sigh and rested my chin in the palm of my hand.
Joseph turned around and mimicked the teacher.
I laughed into my hand.
"Joseph, are you paying attention! Do I need to right you up?" Mister scolded Joseph in his nasaly toned voice. I call him Mister because I could never remember his name.
The fit, blue eyed, dark haired boy never failed to make me laugh. Mister gave him a long speech but I completely ignored him. I just remembered the first day Joseph and I met. It was in 3rd grade, we both shared a love for Pokémon and that was it. We've best friends ever since. I love him like family.
Mister had turned back to the chalkboard and continued his history lecture.
"Do I need to right you up?" I said plugging my nose and waving my finger at Joseph. "Shut up." he said holding back his smile. I rested my head back onto the dirty creme colored wall. I bring my hand back as well picking at the peeling paint that revealed a lime green color. I do this for a few minutes until I am distracted.
I hear the sound of a bag of chips being opened. "Pssst" Karina flashes me the bag of Hot Cheetos. I quickly grab a handful and place them on my lap. My short black painted fingernails we're covered with the red color of the chips. I licked them, leaving a pink stain on my fingers. Karina has a love for junk food. In fact if it weren't for Hot Cheetos we wouldn't be best friends.
It was freshman year. I was about to buy the last bag of Hot Cheetos, but then a short, blonde with brown roots growing in, literally was going to pay me ten bucks for them. Of course I didn't let her. I invited her to our little table in the corner of the lunchroom and we shared the chips. She's always been there for me ever since.
Its the end of Junior year now. Her long brown hair grew in up to her hips and now she has a blonde ombre. She was a very pretty girl, who has an obsession with combat boots, T-shirts and flanels. I swear that's the only thing she wears.
"Hey Butthead gimme more." I demanded. "Here Fatass." I just love our friendship. She handed me the empty bag. I crumbled it up into a ball and threw it at her head. She stuck her tongue out at me and laughed. "Children please." Joseph said plugging his nose. We all giggled.
Just then there was knock on the door. The whole class turned to the tall boy that walked in.
Mister introduced him. "He's hot." Kari said. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. He looked like a snotty rich kid. He had light brown hair and brown eyes. He wasnt ugly. He just really seemed stuck up. He walked down to the back of the classroom and chose a seat next to mine. I quickly picked up my foot and slammed it on the chair as he pulled it out. "This seats taken." I glared at him. Joseph pulled my leg off the chair. "Sorry bro, she's just bitter," "Damn right" I backhand Joseph's neck. He turned around and gave me the look. I just stuck my tongue out. "I'm Joseph but you can call me Joe." he introduced himself. "I'm Matthew." The brown eyed boy smiled and shook Josephs hand. "I'm Karina." She said waving at Matthew. "Can I call you Matt?" He shrugged "Yeah sure." he smirked. I turned at Karina as she humped the desk and moaned Matt. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. That is exactly why she is my best friend.
School went on and eventually ended and I was at home. Finally, I was alone and at peace. No more Matthew talk. Ugh. I grabbed a bottle of vodka and watched re-runs of I Love Lucy the rest of the night.
