Matt's POV:
Sunday Morning, I woke up around 9:40. I was kinda excited to get to know more about Alice. She is something else. Anyway, I got dressed. I wore and acid washed button up shirt, with the sleeves rolled up. I slide my right leg into my leather pants and then my left leg. I slid on a pair of white Adidas and put on my favorite black beanie. I stood in the mirror and fixed any wrinkles or folds. I smiled, as I was pleased with my choice of clothing.
I looked out my window and frowned a bit. It was another gloomy day. Chilly winds blew from the east to the west. The forecast called for rain tonight. I grabbed a gray hoodie just in case.
I got into my black Cadillac Eldorado. It was my birthday gift last year when I got my license. I turned on the radio and drove off.
Alice's POV:
I heard a loud honk outside.
"Shit." I cursed under my breath. I got up and saw Matt outside in his car.
I had just woken up. He honked again.
"I heard you the first time damnit." I said rummaging through my drawers in search of an outfit. I was dressed in five minutes. Now for make up I just applied my foundation, blush, filled in my brows, outlined my lower lash line with black eyeliner, and brushed my lashes with mascara. Nothing fancy, since I had no time. I heard a knock on the door. I already knew it was Matt. I quickly brushed my hair and put it in a pony tail. I grabbed my leather jacket and put on my docs.
I rushed to the front door, and to my surprise it was my elderly neighbor Lucy.
"The young man over there is honking for you. Can you tell him to shut the hell up! I'm trying to watch Golden Girls." She said in a fragile, shaky voice. "Yes Mrs. Browne." I nodded. I waved to Matt and He waved back. "Punk kids." she mummbled as she slowly waddled back to her room.
I grabbed my keys and cell phone and I was out the door.
Matt's POV:
I saw Alice rush down the stairs. She was so cute. She was wearing her leather jacket, a gray crop top, and distressed high waisted shirts. She also had on her docs of course.
"You just woke up didn't you?" I chuckled. "Shut up." Her green eyes glared at me. "Geeze, someone's not a morning person." All she did was glare. "Okay," I said turning on the car. "You know, you should dye your hair dark green." I smiled. "Why?" She shrugged. "So you can be Alice the Grouch. Ba-dum-tss." She laughed. "Just drive." she said trying to hide her smile.
***
I drove her to this diner. Its called Henry's.
We sat and looked over the menu. Its only eleven in the morning and they are still serving breakfast.
She took a deep breath, bit her lip and sighed. "What's wrong?" I asked. "I can't decide between pancakes or chicken nuggets." she smirked. "The pancakes are amazing here, even thought i have only had them once haha." Alice crinkled her nose as she thought. "Okay, I'll take your word. Pancakes it is."
Only minutes later an woman about the age of 40 came over to our table. She smelled of bacon grease. She had curly orange hair that was pulled back into a hair net. Her makeup was sloppy. She wore a pink dress and a white apron. "What can I get for ya sweetcheeks?" She asked me with her hand on her hip. She had a bit of a southern accent. "Two orders of pancakes. I will have an orange juice and Alice?" "Oh I'll have pink lemonade." she smiles. "We only have strawberry lemonade, is that fine." Gladys (that what I read on her name tag.) informs Alice. "Yes that fine." Alice nods. "Kay kids I'll have your orders soon." Gladys scribbles on a small notepad covered in cat stickers and walks away.
"So how do you like it here in Los Angeles?" her green eyes gaze my way. "Oh, yeah its nice. I kinda need someone to give me a tour though." I smile. "I'm down to do that today," she giggles. "but I charge $100 every 15 minutes." she jokes. "There's no way I'm paying you that much." I laugh "Fine, fine you just have to follow me and do what I say." she laughs. "Deal." we shake hands.
"Okay here's ya pancakes and drinks. enjoy." I start to pour syrup on mine and I see Alice cutting holes into hers. I stare in confusion. She picks up the pancake and puts it on her face. "Oh my goodness!" I almost die of laughter. She laughs as well. We talked until our food was done. Matt paid for our breakfast. It was 12:23 pm.
"Where to first?" I ask. "You'll see." She gets into the drivers seat. Something told me, we were about to have a crazy adventure.
She took me to Venice Beach. We rented bikes and rode them all the way to The Santa Monica pier. We parked and locked the bikes. We went on all the rides. We went back to Venice and took pictures with the graffiti. We also watched the street performers. She took me to try Pinks hot dogs for lunch. We went to Universal City Walk. We went into It's Sugar and bought lots of candies. We also played in the water fountains like kids. They had a stage. A DJ was playing his music. There was large crown of people. We jumped and danced with the music.
Soom the day was dark. Alice wanted me to come over to her apartment. She said it where she loves to come and unwind. I thought it was a good idea as well, we can talk and get to know her life story.
