Confession

Alice's POV:

A whole school week went by.

Its Friday afternoon, and I just got home.

Then Karina called.

"Hullo?" I answered. "Hey, can we talk?" she asked. "Yeah." I answered. "No but in person," she sighed. " Can I come over?" "Of course." "Okay love you." she giggled a bit. "See ya babe" I clicked and walked into the kitchen to make snacks. I pulled out my favorite fruits like mangos, strawberries, pineapple, grapes and jicama. I rinsed the bright, colorful fruit and cut them onto pieces. I placed them into a bowl and placed the bowl on the coffee table. I sat scrolling through instagram when Matt texted me.

From Matt:

Hey what's up? :3

I quickly replied.

To Matt:

Karina wants to talk. She should be here soon.

From Matt:

Oooh tell me how that goes. lol

I laugh and coincidentally hear a knock at the door.

I quickly sent Matt a text reading "ttyl she's here ;P" and grabbed a piece of strawberry. I walked up to to he door sliding my phone into my pocket and opening the door. "Hey" she smiled. She went in for a hug. I hugged her and we went on about how we missed eachother.

We sat on the couch and she picked up a grape and popped it in her mouth. "So what's going on?" I shrugged. "Umm well I have been 'sick' this week." she finger quoted the word sick. "Your mom falls for that!" I laughed. "Yeah, but the truth is um...It's kinda awkward, being around Joseph."

Whoomp there it is. I thought.

"Really? Why?" I pretended not to know. "Well that Friday of the party. Him and I uhh..." she scratched her head. I put my hands out to signal her to stop talking. With my eyes shut I shouted. "Did you guys really-" "Shhh!" she shut me up. "Yeah but Joe was drunk I think. I was a bit intoxicated too." She explained. "But I thought you don't drink?" "I didn't and that is why I never will again." She promised. "Do you think he remembers? Does he want a relationship?" I asked to get to know more about the situation. "I honestly don't know. I am going to school on Monday for sure, so we'll find out I guess. I'm kind of nervous." She admitted. "Everything will be okay. I will be here for you." I hugged her. She let out a breath like a weight was lifted off of her.

We ate the fruit and talked for hours. She later left back home and I was home alone.

My phone started to ring. I answered Matt's call.

(Matt) (Alice)

"Sup weirdo" i giggled.

"Hey beautiful." He chuckled.

I could feel my cheeks get hot.

"Karina just left a few minutes ago."

"Damn barely."

"Well we haven't seen each other in a week."

"Exactly! Not a half a century!"

We both laughed.

"And your point iiiisss?"

"Never mind." he laughed.

"Wanna get pizza and Starbucks?"

"Oh my god yes! You know the way to my heart." I said sarcastically but not really bc pizza+starbucks=my love.

He chuckled.

"Okay I'll be there in 10."

"Kay bye."

"Bye."

I hung up and went to fix my make-up and hair.

Matt's POV:

I grabbed my keys and got into my car. I drove over to her house. I looked in my mirror to see if my hair was okay. I got out of the car, went up to her apartment and knocked on her door. I heard her footsteps and then the door swang open.

"Hey." she smiled. Her green eyes sparkled in the moonlight. I couldn't help but stare at her beauty. "Umm soo are we gonna get going?" she asked a bit confused. Probably because she was creeped out by my staring. I quickly snapped out of my trance. "Oh uh...yeah." I tried playing it off and we walked back to the car. She sat in the your seat. She smiled at me. We went to order a large pepperoni pizza and we ate outside of Starbucks.

"So how's Karina?" I asked carefully picking up my piece of pizza. "She is fine. She didn't come to school because she was a bit embarrassed. She doesn't even know if Joseph remembers that night. She said he seemed a bit drunk." Alice takes a bite of her pizza.  "Well at least she is okay, and maybe its best if he doesn't remember." I shrug. Alice sips on her iced coffee. "Do you think she likes him? Or he maybe likes her?" she asks sounding concerned.

"I..uh don't know. Uh...its kinda hard to tell. He treats both of you the same." I lied. Last week, before the party, Joe told me he had liked Karina since freshman year. But I really didn't think he would have sex with her. Maybe he was drunk and he slept with her.

"Was Karina drinking too?" I ask. "Yeah. She said wasn't drunk and she wasn't all that sober either."

That would explain how she rembered. I kinda do hope he was hammered because I wouldn't want any friendships to be ruined. Especially because Alice is really close to both of them. We ended our night and headed home. She thanked me and hugged me goodnight. I hugged her back and reminded her I'd be there for her always.

What do you order from Starbuck and what do you like on your pizza?

I like the vanilla bean frappe and I like the pizza with the onions, olives, Bell peppers, and all that stuff. I think its called the supreme idk lol
