Baby Check Up

Alice's POV:

It's been a few weeks, since all that drama.

Karina went home twice, only to pick up her stuff. The day we went, her mom didnt even bother to help. Her father seemed a bit more compassionate to the situation, he still seemed disappointed but he still said he would support her.

Karina and I share a room. We have seperate beds across from eachother. Its been tough having to share rooms, bathrooms, food etc., but she has been such a help and she really needed me.

Matt is good. I see him almost everyday at school, and the weekends. He has been kind enough to buy us food. I really like him.

Today Karina had made an appointment at the doctor's to check up on the baby. Aa soon as we opened the clinic's door the cold air hit me. I always liked how doctors offices smelled. They smell clean, I dont know how else to put it.

The called out Karinas name and we walked into the small room. It was all white with wooden cupboards. In the center was a chair and Karina mounted herself on it. I walked over to this pin board. Many pictures of babies were plastered on it. Some were the cutest babies on the planet and others not so much. I was an ugly baby I can tell you that. I was fat, I looked like the Michelin Man.(Google It) I had small eyes and a wide nose. Not to mention I was bald until I was one year old. Ugh, I was so cringe-worthy.

The female nurse walks in. "Hello Karina," She was an Indian woman. She had her hair in a bun and she wore mint green scrubs. "Today we are just going to check how far long you're into your pregnancy, and if your far enough would you like to know the sex of the baby?" Karina smiled,"Oh no, I already knew enough sex to be having this kid."

She would.

I mentally facepalmed. I wanted to laugh so bad, I just kept looking at the baby pictures.

I turned around to glance at the nurse, she looked confused.

"Ohkaay, sure I'd like to know." Karina spoke. The nurse nodded and walked out to grab some materials I guess.

"You thought that was funny right?" Karina asked me. "Yeah, she looked scared." I nodded laughing.

The nurse walked back in and sat down next to Kari with a gel substance and a weird looking wand? She placed the gel on her stomach. She rubbed the wand around to kind of spread the gel around. On the screen, in black and white, was a small baby.

I looked at Karina. She was teary eyed. She seemed so overjoyed. I held her hand. "It's beautiful. My baby."

"Looks like your a little over two months pregnant." The nurse spoke. "So do you know if it's a boy or girl?" I asked. "At this age yes, but it seems the baby is turned in a way the camera can't get a view of the reproduction organ." She smiled.

"C'mon baby, show me your junk!" We all giggled.

Karina was gonna be a great mother.
